For the first time ever, I’m talking to you all now as a married man!
We had the most perfect day for those of you interested, and here is one shot of myself and my beautiful wife, Ally.
I want to thank anyone who sent us well wishes, I read them all even if I couldn’t respond or acknowledge them all. Really appreciated.
The best day of my life so far (if Ally asks, obviously it’s the 2012 Champions League final really…!!).
Anyways, thought some of you might have enjoyed seeing a shot of us in all our gear, back to the football now as promised!
Chelsea literally topped off a perfect weekend for me by beating Arsenal 2-0 in their own back yard. Romelu Lukaku had the best possible debut scoring the opener and getting man of the match, and we breezed past Arteta’s side.
I’ve written up a review in true Simon style - titled 5 things I noticed about the Arsenal win, check that out here.
I’ve obviously been keeping and eye on the transfer activity and checking in with people despite it being my wedding day - my own fault for planning a wedding during the transfer window, schoolboy error!
So I’ve spoken to my sources about our midfielder situation, and to be honest this is quite an intriguing situation here that could go a number of ways. Read the latest on that here.
Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba is also still an option for Chelsea and they are still in the race, peep the latest on him here.
There is a chance that we still see two more arrivals at Chelsea during these last 7 days of the window, although again, it’s dependent on other situations and could go down to the wire.
The most talked about potential arrival right now is Jules Kounde from Sevilla, I’ve got the latest on that from a mix of top sources and my own sources here.
And finally, we aren’t doing too bad in the outgoings department right now and should be seeing two or three more confirmed departures any moment now, then some more after that hopefully. Get the latest on that situation here.
Hope you guys enjoyed the Podcast this week with our very own Jai Mcintosh filling in for me alongside Dan. I’ll be back in the booth this week with Danny boy so I’m looking forward to that.
Speak to you all soon, thanks as always for checking in!
Simon Phillips
thanks again is and congratulations. Jai did a great job for you last week, but obviously be great to have you back. Don't suppose you could have a word with Dan to improve his sound quality etc. it was the worst I've heard it last week.
What a lovely photo. Love the black and white photo aesthetic as it brings out the beautiful harmony of all your guests sharing their happiness.
