The Havertz show, interest in Zouma, transfer plans started, a year since fans, Rudi & Christensen new deals?
#Issue 17 of our Chelsea FC Newsletter!
Morning Blues!
It’s nice to be typing this one up after another win, and another great performance from Chelsea.
Collectively once again we were excellent against Everton on Monday night, coming out 2-0 winners and staying in 4th spot in the league, pulling 7 points clear of Liverpool and just 3 behind Leicester City.
Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea have now gone 11 games unbeaten, getting 9 clean sheers along the way - That really is something.
It was refreshing to see that Kai Havertz really decided to announce himself on the scene last night, playing in his comfortable false 9 position - read my breakdown of his performance here.
Just imagine if we had fans inside Stamford Bridge last night, there would have been absolute limbs everywhere!
Believe it or not it was a year to the day yesterday when Chelsea last had a full Stamford Bridge, check that out and our ironic opponents from that day here.
Andreas Christensen was absolutely colossal again for Chelsea against Everton and he really is looking un-droppable, and an absolute different beast to the player who played under Frank Lampard.
Which brings me on to my next subject, what is the current centre back situation at Chelsea I hear you ask?
Rumours of potential new deals on the table for Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger after their revivals under Tuchel, but is there any truth in that?
I break it all down here.
Sticking with centre backs, Kurt Zouma’s Chelsea career is going in the exact opposite direction as Rudiger and Christensen. In fact, he has pretty much swapped roles with them in the space of a couple of months, despite starting against Everton on Monday.
Will he be happy being just a squad player? Rumours of his future are starting to circulate, and we’ve got some exclusive news on that for you here.
Sticking with transfer news and exclusives, we’ve got something else on that front for you here surrounding our transfer plans for this summer.
We may be busy again, find out more here.
Finally, can y’all do me a favour please? Can you head here and write your questions for our man Dan McCarthy (@MaccaSport) for a new feature we are trialling please?
Just drop it in the comments section and Dan will type them all up as a Q&A article this week!
