Sources: 'Movement started behind the scenes' as Chelsea and Tuchel start working on transfers
Chelsea are expected to be one of the few busy clubs in the market this summer
With the ongoing affects of the global pandemic, Chelsea are expected to be one of a few teams who could be very busy in the transfer market this summer.
There are a number of players whom the club and Thomas Tuchel need to make decisions on selling, with various contracts running low.
The likes of Tammy Abraham, Andreas Christensen, and Antonio Rudiger will all need to be addressed this summer, as it will be the last time the club could sell them for decent money if they are not signing new deals.
Of course, there is also the subject of the goalkeeper, whether Kepa Arrizabalaga is loaned or sold, and other squad players such as Kurt Zouma and Billy Gilmour will both want to know their futures at the club.
We have been told today that ‘movement has started behind the scenes’ looking at all of this, as well as any potential new targets between the Chelsea board and Tuchel.
They have collectively started looking at transfers, and we are told to expect a busy summer at Stamford Bridge.
The board will always have the final decision, but they have now bought Tuchel into the conversations to discuss potential transfer targets, and players who he believes could be sold.
Frank Lampard was backed with some targets, but not all, and a similar thing is expected to happen with Tuchel, he will get ‘some’ say.
The board of course have targets they have been looking at for some time, as we have been reporting here for the last few months (check back on our articles to find out which names!), and these meetings now will be a chance for them to see if they are in sync and get the collective thoughts of all involved.
We will be finding out exact names over the coming weeks and if there will be any Tuchel targets in particular, so I recommend subscribing to this site so you don’t miss anything, and following us on Twitter @SPTalksCFC for the latest updates!
Looking forward to another busy summer transfer window! Another key window for us to get the right signings in to narrow the gap between ourselves & the likes of City!
