Other ST targets, Kante's 30th, Mount on fire, Havertz building momentum, plus BIG Q&A session with Dan McCarthy
#Issue20 of our Chelsea FC Newsletter
This week we recorded our 20th Podcast since we started, now you are currently reading our 20th Newsletter. You can listen to that show here.
It’s been a great journey so far!
We have well over 2,000 subscribers now and I just wanted to take this chance to thank you all for joining our community; myself (Simon) and Dan (Macca) really appreciate your support, subscriptions, and your contributions to the SPTC family!
The international break is kind of boring right? Well yes, because we have no Chelsea matches. However, it’s been pretty good so far for Chelsea players on the whole, all bar a (hopefully non-serious) injury for N’Golo Kante. I’ve been told it isn’t too bad.
Kai Havertz is continuing his form he started to show before he left for the break for Germany, getting an assist and a goal so far in two wins for Germany, check my piece here on how rivals will be watching his growing form in fear right now.
His German team mate Timo Werner is yet to really see a lot of action other than a couple of cameo minutes, which probably sums up how the season is going for him so far.
However, we have some positive Werner news here after the noise of the last few weeks circling.
Mason Mount has been absolutely balling for England as well (shock), getting on the scoresheet against Albania on Sunday night after his assist against San Marino last week.
Are there actually any haters left out there? If there is, then this one here is for you… Well actually, it’s for all of you - especially if you’ve been a regular passenger on the Mason Mount train since day one, you’ll enjoy this one!
Meanwhile, it was the soon to become Chelsea legend N’Golo Kante’s 30th Birthday on Monday (I know right? We also want to check his Passport!)
So to mark the man who covers every single blade of grass at least three times per match’s Birthday, I have written this little tribute on his 5 years as a Blue so far here.
Now for some transfer talk, because we all love a bit of transfer talk…
The striker is a priority area for Chelsea to invest in this summer, with Erling Haaland the hot pursuit.
But do Chelsea have any alternatives to Haaland? Or is it Haaland or nothing? You can check out my write up on this here, where I answer those exact questions and chuck some other names in the fold…
Finally, poor old Pasta Dan aka Macca aka Dan McCarthy felt a bit left out of these newsletters, so I put him to work again this week and got him involved!
We asked for YOUR questions for Dan, and he has typed up his question and answer session here, covering a number of pinnacle topics giving some significant answers..
This is the second instalment of a regular feature we are doing - the Q&A with Dan McCarthy. I’ll let you guys crack the whip on him!
Thanks as always for reading our updates here, any suggestions for content for future newsletters, we would love to hear from you in the comments section.
Remember, all out content is FREE and if you haven’t yet, hit subscribe!
