Always a good read. It feels sometimes fans just want change for changes sake. This manager that player it’s an endless list. I’m not convinced about Poch but I’m certainly not convinced by the other candidates. There has been so much change throughout the club some stability would be good.
As he is more often than not your article @TheScore is spot on. I have been saying that sometime now we consistency and patience. Another change of management is not going to help us in the growth of the football team. As you write the state since Christmas only three teams, the top three, have a better record than us. In the last 10 games it’s only two (Arsenal and Man City) and in fact in the last six games we have the best record in the league. Manchester United performance today showed how we have improved in comparison to them this season. If anyone thinks we’ve got problems, look at them. How many of their players would you want in our team even with our inexperience. They need a rebuild from front to back, we need refinement. I also think Tottenham have a lot more to do in the long-term to develop their team.
Spot on Craig, I really hope we can make it into Europa League. It would be a huge confidence boost to the squad, Pochettino, and the fanbase at large. I desperately want to see what Poch can do with another summer, a fully healthy squad, a proper 9, an elite CB, and another creator like Olise.
I've been advocating for Poch for another year. It's makes most sense him to remain versus hiring new manager. Without high expectations, we should be way more improved team next season with new and more quality additions (new striker and new CB). Then summer of 2025 should be next step to eventually upgrade on Poch.
All big clubs run their teams without so many changes. Too many changes = more problems.
I think the improvement is there for all to see. I fully expect us to win out now and United to lose at least two of their last 4 games. If Spurs didn't have Burnley and Sheffield United in the their last 3 I'd fancy us to overtake them as well. Be mad to change him given as you said, the entire squad is behind him. I've flipped back and forth a bit recently but it really looks like he's starting to build something, arsenal game aside and hopefully with a fully fit, or at least way less injured squad next season we should be pushing on to comfortably finishing top 4, especially given Klopp leaving

Poch staying is the only rational thing to do.

Jesus, I can’t think of a worse manager for this squad than Tuchel.
