Rodrygo/leao type player at lw or just going to finish 4th again. Wonder if they realize that

Glad you bring this to the fan base the way it is! I'm part of the Rogers team for now. Kudus isn't anywhere far back of him though.

Top choice - Rogers (but his price tag is just insane and unjustifiable, such deal will need to be massaged very well to come to fruitiness)

Backup - Kudus (could explode again with us and is doable at a fairly reasonable price)

LW backup - would just stick with Tyrique even though they don't rate him so high, he'll be more than satisfied to remain with the team but his game time will be limited.

If we go for Rogers then it makes so much sense to keep TG in the team, financial wise and structure wise.

I’m sorry, I have significant reservations about Garnacho even though I know there is talent there. Paragraph I’ve watched Forfana a couple of times and been quite impressed. I would love Rogers but irrespective of the noise I just don’t see it happening. Perhaps in 12 months time when Villa need the money again? Kudus is someone I’ve always liked along with Pedro. I think both together would complete our team with another young left-winger to compete or we just keep George although I do think he needs games

Luke: from what I’ve seen Garnacho and family are not what we need. They seem to be shit disturbers. Man U is smart getting rid of him and we sure don’t need him in our clubhouse.

Hi Luke, would love to see Osimhen as our out n out striker, bangs in goals every season in every competition and in any country and I believe he would love to come to us. God forbid he goes to any of our close rivals as he would take them up a notch or 5! Pop Rogers in the 10 role behind him and we would be serious challengers in every competition

He’s gone to turkey now, he’s down in Europe’s top leagues for now

I still feel we're short at number 9.

At the moment it's a Number 9 plus a hybrid (like Nkunku??). I've always felt that, three months ago, it was being suggested that we were prioritising GK & ST. We've not done the first and only half done the second, arguably. On the ST front, I'm disappointed that Gyokeres, a prolific goalscorer, is likely going to Arsenal. It also looks like Osimhen, if he was ever likely to join, is now headed to Turkey. What's left? My choice would be Ekitike.

Given that we're very unlikely to adopt a two striker formation, how would Delap feel about Ekitike joining?

It all feels like we're going reach mid-August undercooked at centre forward - for the 6th-7th season in a row. It's quite inexcusable.

Still the same as before on what this team requires, a spine, if they want to move past being a top 5/6 side.

A striker a real one, Delap is not a finished article he is a prospect

Wingers x 2, who is even available that wants to come on low wages, Gittens is just another prospect, (Citeh youth again, kicked his heals a bit at Cobham in 2012)

Pretty please, we must have a t p GK, another season with Robert Sanchez is showing no intent at all, I'm still holding the popcorn watching Citeh do the business

Rodrygo - right age, champions league and international experience, preferred position is on the left, and he's a goal threat.

Ekitike would be the other one

Hi Luke, you seem to have forgotten about Marc Guiu. Will he be loaned out? or with so many games next season wouldn't he be the perfect choice as a sub or for the domestic cup games. He certainly brings energy to the side, something that could be lacking, considering how far we have gone in the CWC. Also don't forget that Pedro did Okay when asked to play up front and Cole could also slot in there, although that didn't exactly work very well last season. Another problem to factor in is the UEFA fine. We have been told that our outgoings need to exceed our expenditure in this window if the new signings are to be eligible for the Champion's League games. Unless we get our arses in gear and off load quickly after the CWC, we could find ourselves hamstrung. Given the options we have I don't think it would be disastrous if we didn't end up signing another forward, although De Lap's disciplinary record was a problem last season and he is banned again tonight.

Garnacho and kudus

If I'm sticking to the two attackers in the hypothetical I'm choosing Kudus and Ekitike, this is assuming Jackson goes.

Otherwise just Kudus. We need to get the squad in a shape where we're not having to offload players every summer and scramble to find loan deals for the players we've not sold.

I’m actually starting to get concerned that we’ll have too many attacking players, especially factoring in that next season we’ll have Quenda joining and Paez back from a loan. So I’m in the camp of thinking we only need 1 more, and it all pretty much depends on Jackson for me, if he stays I’d say go and get Rogers (think he’d be an incredible signing), but if Jackson goes I’d say we need an alternative to Delap (Sesko would be my choice).

Paez will need 2 years on loan if I am honest. I wouldn't be surprised if next summer Neto was sold to make way for Quenda. That's all guess work from me but completely possible scenarios.

That is exactly the 2 season cycle they have in place, 2 years on the books low wages and flip for profit.

That was my thinking on Neto, although if he goes and has a fantastic season this season then it would probably be foolish to move him on. Agree with Paez, just not sure if he might kick up a bit of fuss at that prospect. But I’d still love Rogers in this team regardless of those two.

It’s in Neto’s hands tbh, Paez needs to be humbled a little bit, he can’t just kick up a fuss and get his own way he’s not a toddler and he’s coming to be a part of one of the biggest clubs in Europe, that attitude won’t get him anywhere

It was concerning to hear his club manager say that young Ecuadorian players, need to be kept on a tight leash once they are transferred abroad and he has already been involved in one unsavoury incident in the States.

Good point, and fully agree, it’s more if certain promises were made - not sure what his agents are like but can imagine they’d be in his ear and talking to other clubs

For me Rogers is a must and we would be foolish to go anywhere near Garnacho.

We seem to be overlooking the fact that we desperately need a number 1 keeper.

So whilst Felix and Nkunku out the door amongst others because they are surplus to requirements we should keep Madueke for one more season as he has been improving and Jackson as well.

Money raised from sales lets get the Keeper upgrade in as Petronivic is so Hacked off he wants to be sold and sell Sanchez and if possible Jorgenson and start the new season with a new number 1 and Penders as a back up with 3rd choice if necessary coming from the academy
