The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 8th November 2023!
Morning all!
I can’t lie, I’m still buzzing off thrashing Spurs in their own backyard in what was a much needed three points for us.
I’m really not ready to start thinking about Manchester City on Sunday, but I kind of have to!
And as buzzing as I am for the win and still and enjoying the incredible result that it was, it is also my job to analyse and look at the bigger pictures around us.
As positive as the result was, I also saw some concerning things from our performance. I’ve seen a few people say they couldn’t enjoy the game despite Chelsea winning and I actually get that. I didn’t feel it myself because we smashed our rivals, but I get it. I have gone a bit deeper into the game here and marked my concerns for City and why we need to change how we setup and played against Spurs, if we want to stand any chance in this one.
I am also still buzzing for Nico Jackson and loved watching him soak up his hat trick. He badly needed those goals and he deserves to enjoy the moment. But I still have my concerns, and again, I’ve looked into the bigger picture here and it’s just reiterated how badly Chelsea need to sign a new striker in January.
A sourced article next and it is on life without Emma Hayes at Chelsea. Will they be picking her replacement anytime soon and what is the plans for that? Why is she leaving? Who’s decision is it? I answer all that and more in here.
Luke Rushbrook has his latest ever popular Loan Army Report for us to feast on here.

See you all on the live blog from 8am this morning!
Peace, Si.
