Thanks Lee I love these updates. It’s really good to get a review of what our loan players are up to and how they are progressing. Santos has to come back to Chelsea and/or find an alternative club, the second half of the season
Bashir or Andrey In my opinion, we should have some form of european football next season, meaning a bigger squad will be necessary. I also think Ugochukwu may go on loan next season opening a space for Andrey.
Bashir is ready now in my view, and as his recent interview says, the club wanted him to stay this season, they know he is ready.
Remember that Trev is going, Thiago will be leaving at the end of the season, that leaves us Disasi, Badiashile, Levi & Fofana. With Fofana's record of injuries the club will probably want another 2 centre halves that are versatile and Bash is certainly one of those!
Maybe, yeah. Although Lesley is slightly more defensive and has been helpful to have around.
He looks incredibly raw to me, and a year on loan would have been more beneficial to him than Andrey in my view.
Maybe Lesley goes out on loan in Jan and Andrey returns?? who knows!
Also I think the club were holding an overseas loan and ended up panic loaning Moreira when a little bit of planning could have seen Lesley head back to France on loan.
I would be astonished Alex if any of them make the first team squad! I would have said Bashir but hearing that the club are looking at CBs even here I have my doubts. Santos might just become a first team squad member but he needs a good loan first. The club model is to loan and sell these players for profit; youngsters making into the first team will be as rare as hen's teeth! Many thanks Luke for the update.
I disagree overall with the clubs model statement Jonathan, I think in essence there will be parts of this of course, because it is not possible to include all of these players we are buying, but IF for example Angelo has an amazing loan in France and PSG come in for 40m, we over double our profit and move on with the likes of Noni & Omari who play the same position.
We will sell a lot of these lads but the likes of Santos, Casadei etc are bought to develop on loan and make our first team in the future.

Thanks for the update, Luke.
Of all the loanees, who is the 1 player that you think has the most realistic chance of being in our first team squad next season?

All makes sense, Luke!
In hindsight, do you think the club feel that we should have kept Andrey Santos and sent Ugochukwu out on loan this season?

Agree with all of that, Jonathan. I've certainly had that hunch about the club's model
Thanks for your update again.
Andrey Santos:
Andrey was an unused sub for Forest at the weekend.
Easily the most frustrating loan spell so far.
