Agree with your assessment. Although, it sounds as though Villa probably wouldn’t accept less than £40m. So personally, we could simply walk away, or maybe broker a deal of £25m up front - with £10-15m in performance based add-ons. My logic is that £25m is a fair market valuation, and we only pay out the add-ons IF he is a success. In which case, £40m will look a bargain!
Great analysis. He sounds more of a hold-up CF than Jackson or Nkunku. Sounds like a decent option if we don’t want to break the bank for a ‘big’ name.
Thanks Fraser. Yes he is definitely more of a bruiser and traditional back to goal CF. His shot is incredible, just really raw in a lot of other areas.
Thanks for your very insightful review of him, definitely one of the best I’ve seen. If we can sell Forfana for a £10 million profit and by Duran for £25m plus add ons which are performance related then there is little to lose and that leaves any money raised with the sale of Broja available to fund other acquisitions. Thank you again.
My stance is £40 million way too much & I’m with Dan Adam’s on the £25mill figure for the following reasons.
Yes we need a bruiser up front, yes we need a hold up player just think how good Giroud is /was for us.
But we need someone who can score goals as well.
If as you say there isn’t much difference between Fofana and Duran give Fofana the chance spend the money on a marque (excuse spelling) player.
My concern remains it’s ok for the Sd’s and Egbali to say season target is Champions League but you have to give the manager the tools to achieve it not raw talent.
If we get to the end of the season and we end up in 5th and once again a manager is blamed for falling short of Champions League because of not getting players with the right balance of skill, consistency, being injury free & experience, I for one will be spitting nails.
To develop the team we need managerial consistency and to keep our best players fit and playing!
He's like a young JFH. A battering ram chaos merchant with a lethal shot. I'm all for it.
Just needs to round out some of the weaknesses in his game, but overall there is enough there for the right price for me to be interested.

Couldn't agree more. I think add on's should be a big part of this. Interesting to see if they put players in it.
Awesome analysis. Love this type of content 🙏🏼
Thanks Victor! Full video recap should be up on YouTube this weekend.

Excellent analytical piece about Jhon Durán, Dylan.
Thanks for the article much appreciated.

I think its a good stance to take, and I think Chelsea are at that point also. That is why you are seeing other striker links over the last 24 hours.
