Haaland talks, Donnarumma chances increase, Pulisic & Kepa future, Havertz opens up, Bonus Podcast w/ Star of ITV's 'The Chase'
#Issue18 of our Chelsea FC Newsletter!
Welcome to #Issue18 of our Chelsea FC Newsletter.
We will start with some transfer news, and for those of you who didn’t listen to the Podcast last week (why on earth not!?), then you may have missed our bit of significant information regarding Chelsea’s pursuits of both Erling Haaland of Dortmund, and Gianluigi Donnarumma of AC Milan.
It’s positive news; well, that is if you want to see us sign both players! I’ve written it up here.
Assuming you’ve all managed to reflect after a frustrating game at Leeds over the weekend?
If not, then we have a great article dissecting the game, and the predictable reactionary player slating and finger pointing on Twitter after the game, you’ll find a calm and measured take written by our very own Dan McCarthy here.
Christian Pulisic started against Leeds at right wing back, which was rare in the sense of a start under Thomas Tuchel, and rare in terms of the position he was asked to play.
I thought he did alright under the circumstances, but it was clear this is not a position that he will thrive in.
We have some news on his future here after all the speculative noise surrounding the American over the last few weeks.
Another player who has been on the receiving end of criticism this season is Kai Havertz, and he has been opening up about having Covid-19, struggling with niggling injuries, feeling homesick and not seeing his family, and vowing the see the best from him now.
You can check that very interesting and honest interview here, he has a great mentality.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has been left out of the Spain squad for the first time since he arrived at Chelsea in 2018.
Where does that leave his future? We have an update on that here.
Finally, we decided to reward all of our loyal subscribers in our SPTC community with a surprise bonus Podcast completely out of the blue, which you can find here.
We recorded it and posted it on Monday night, and we drafted in star of The Chase once again, The Dark Destroyer aka Shaun Wallace, for a reflection on the Leeds game and general chat about the club we love (Shaun is a massive Chelsea fan if you missed him on our Pod last time around!)
A little teaser for Thursday’s Podcast - We have a top football agent to chat all things Chelsea transfers for the summer!
Thanks for reading as always, don’t forget to subscribe for these in your inbox, and to not miss out on any future surprise bonus Podcasts and exclusive news!
