On the coaching bit i think i might be the only one here who does not want any of the usual names being linked. Think all of them are risk and dont have the pedigree / experience that this club needs at the moment. If we get the next appointment wrong we will be in further trouble ... financially and sporting wise too. The name and history will stop resonating with any potential future players that we want to buy. Keep on the current path and the gloss will come off eventually.

Sorry to say but Amorim coaches in a league where except for 2 other teams all teams are mid table championship level... so the high win % does not mean much. He is no Jose.. if thats what people think. Jose came in as a CL winner.

I hope the club get serious and get one of Simeone, Inzaghi, Spalletti, Emery or Nagelsmann (not his biggest fan but he still is less of a risk to the other names) - in that order. Unfortunately we wont get any of these nor will the come to work with this set up and reporting to footballing naive people.

Go down another project manager route and we will be looking for a new one 6 months later. The new ownership had its AVB moment with Potter... there is no need for another one.

I get your concerns but for me Amorim is no worse that any of those coaches you have mentioned. Emery failed at Arsenal and arguably PSG, Simeone is the LaLiga Dyche, Nagelsmann is overrated imo, Inzaghi and Spalletti both have their limitations too.

There isn't a perfect candidate. Amorim i think is someone that fans can get behind, his football is decent and has proved a lot in his career to date. Inexperience is perhaps a concern. but every manager and player started somewhere, they werent born superstars.
