Patience will pay off eventually with this squad, I believe. The talent is there, the cohesiveness of a squad takes time. With the injuries we've had, cohesiveness has not been built yet in so many areas of the pitch. Have some faith, and support the lads. That's what they need at a time like this.
Brilliant article and the comparisons you make are very relevant.
I think one of the main differences now in football, as with many sports, is that it is first and foremost a business! Clearlake, Boehly, Eghball and Feliciano may well have an interest in sport, but the driving ambition is to make their investment grow and expand and ultimately to create a return on that investment. They have no problem spending money, but, with so little experience of ‘Soccer’, I would have thought that they would have spent some of their money on getting advice from the best people. As has been said by so many people recently, the fans can see it and our only qualification is that we love Chelsea and can’t bear what we are seeing and experiencing.
If those with the power really cared, they would come and explain and enter into a dialogue with representatives of the groups who now feel so alienated and disenfranchised.
This is OUR club, who have the ability to thrill, excite, cause happiness and despair in equal measure. If, as an owner, you don’t understand, or care about that, sell it to someone who does! PLEASE!!!!
I'm liking the comparisons between the two squad rebuilds here, and probably the constant reminders of the total investment by Boehly/ Clearlake in the Chelsea squad, has added pressure to the entire situation, and probably many of the players are feeling that !!!
Brilliant article the best I’ve seen for sometime and concurs with lots of my thoughts. Let’s also not remember team of Eddie McCreadie, but also was successful for a period of time before it was broken up by the ownership.

Perspective is so important! Brilliant article, chief!
