I wouldn't mind starting slowly so much if it wasn't for the obvious errors of playing Colwill and or Chillwell and Enzo out of position. I don't know anyone who thinks those decisions are a good idea.

Great article 👍👍 anyone with a little football knowledge should know that pre season form is not to be trusted simply because top level professionals see it as an opportunity to build fitness for the upcoming season and get minutes on the pitch, results are secondary. Experience players are vital when bedding new young talent and the loss of to injury of some of our more experienced players is having an impact on the youngsters who as been asked to adapt very quickly to premier league, and when results are poor ( no matter how good the performance) that pressure increases. This we have seen, initially performances where decent, exciting and just missing a cutting edge, but recently the performances have dipped our intensity and quick movement of players and ball have declined rapidly and now confidence is effected..... but I believe that these harsh lessons of premiership reality will help this young squad blossom in time and the reality is some of them will not survive but the ones that do will become the leaders for the next 10 years. True fans will support because that’s the only we can have a positive impact on these youngsters .... Keep the Blue flag flying high😁

I enjoyed the Scored article because it preach’s patience but one thing I do disagree with is Broja’s goal scoring ability of which I’ve seen no evidence in competitive games.

His goal scoring record in u21 is 1 in 3 in the Eredivisie is 1 in 3.

In the premier league ( some were off the subs bench) it falls to 1 in 6.5 appearances.

Broja isn’t the answer.

I’d like to take a second to mention Sanchez (Brighton 2nd choice) Chelsea first choice. Against Bournemouth rightly or wrongly I saw him making saves that were clear goals against Kepa so there you have it the first signing out of Brighton worth every penny so far.

Another inspired signing I believe is Palmer but how inspired we won’t know unless he is played.

Murdryk juries out I think he will get there.

Well written and and well spoken, "The Score" !

So pleased that you tell it like it is, especially about the few ( I hope) sack Poch', trigger happy crowd !!!

I've said this before, but I really don't understand what booing Chelsea fans are going to gain, aside from a few moments of stress release, and perhaps tearing away, the obviously very fragile confidence that the squad has now.

It doesn't make them play harder, or shoot more accurately, defend better, or anything else !!!

And if these folks love our Academy grads so much, what message are they sending to the guys called up to the Senior squad, for the 1st time, like last week ? They might be now thinking "Oh, so this is what I might have to look forward to at Chelsea" !

I'll bet you that booing is now burned into their memory's !!!

Some of them might start thinking, ' I better not make any mistakes, other wise I'll get booed too' !

Just what we do not need, in order to make a positive impression, with our Academy grads, and perhaps ,some future 1st team players !

It's not a question of do Supporters have a right to boo, of course they do, it's a question of how smart a strategy that is, for the youngest Club in the League, with a new Manager, and also most of the squad, still getting used to playing with one another, and then their is the lengthy injury list, on top of that !

Don't hold fire, Si, let it rip. I really hate the seemingly growing contingent of Chelsea 'fans' (I don't believe they are true fans, just X merchants), that just make radical claims for clickbait and false agendas. Anyone that thinks Poch should be sacked needs to seek urgent medical attention.

I saw an article today in which a learned gentleman described Twitter as the "modern equivalent of scribbling on lavatory walls". Sums it up quite nicely! Totally agree your point.

good article. And again i will say this that Poch is not a problem ... he is a solution to our problems but he has been dealt a very difficult hand by our owners / directors by handing him so many project players when he himself asked for experience.

Experience does not mean signing 29-30 yr olds .. though even that can be looked at if an opportunity presents itself (say someone good is out of contract or has a low release clause). Its great to sign young players but you need the experienced heads to guide them, hold their hand when the chips are down and power through crises.

We could have done so much better with the money we spent. We really needed to target players in the Nkunku / Badiashile mould... who are young and still have alot of senior minutes. So think Leao, Rice, Osimhen, Maignan / Martinez. That would have been some spine and would have cost us at max 500m.

Yet we went for project players or players we simply didnt need (Mudryk, Lavia, Sanchez, Palmer). That's close to 200m saved right there and had they properly thought about this project they would have been able to convince Rice long time back so Caicedo's fee could have been diverted to Rice.

Anyways it is what it is. Have to grind it out one way or the other.

Only thing is that if things continue to slip i can see the fan anger in the stands being directed towards the ownership too... sooner or later they will realise that manager is not the problem
