Palmer hasn't looked comfortable int the Number 8 position and tbh I think Nkunku will end up owning that spot.
Right wing for Palmer I'm afraid and he absolutely impresses in that spot.
Left Wing I'm coming round to the idea that Jackson will end up owning that spot he has a lot of energy , pace and can pass in addition i think he would still get his goals from that position but without the stress of being the striker.
For me Reece James and Ben Chilwell are both in last chance salon as either the treatments have fixed the problem or we are going to have to make a decision as between them they aren't fit for more than 1/2 of 1 players season all together.
In defense I wouldn't be surprised to see Silva replaced this year as it could be argued he is stopping other players developing however he is in my mind world class and Chelsea should try and keep him as a defensive coach / backup defender for an additional season apparently his family and co are happy in London and his boy(s) are in the youth academy.
So left back spot we have no cover and are screaming out for a top quality replacement but I'd like to see it as a player who can play all the way across the back line.
Madueke & Mudryk both are back ups for me but given the minutes and experience could yet make it.
Up front Broja goes and we pay the money to replace with a striker who can net the ball.
Gallagher signs a contract or goes because he cant be allowed to run his contract down and leave for nothing. (This is a changed position from me, I love his energy and what he brings to the team but no one is indispensable)
Sterling yes on his best days he is brilliant unfortunately they are few and far between so position blocker, so yes sell and accept the player that steps up may be not quite as good but if they are consistent that'll work.
Across the back Alfie Gilcrest steps up so Center Back position looks as follows assuming Silva doesn't extend stay.
How do you rate Mudryk and Madueke and see them fitting in? Personally I love Madueke’s direct, fearless, and creative play when on. Madueke has shown some flashes, but gets a bit lost playing against a low block.
Also, what about Lavia, Chuk, & Ugochukwu? Do you see them breaking in when healthy or do they each need a loan to get more game time?
Great piece, I'd rather see Nkunku in the 8/10 and Palmer and OLISE battling for Rw myself.
Mudryk needs proper competition (not Sterling) and yes Davies the dream LB.if not him then (albeit sadly fit the ages in the project) Theo Hernandez, Robinson would provide decent backup to a starter for sure
Striker, I honestly think Osimhen is Madrid or Saudi bound, so that's the one where I see us having another frustrating summer potentially
Finally I'd like Evertons Inana as a real midfield and emergency 5th cb option, over buying another pure CB.
And Broja, Sterling, disasi, Connor, madueke, can all go for me....sorry!
Antonee Robinson is overrated and very susceptible as a defensive player. He’s not up to scratch in my mind and is no better than what we have. I certainly wouldn’t support him as a target.
In terms of your indicative lineup, personally I would go currently with Palmer on the right, Nkunku, in the middle and Mydrych on the left.
Lastly, if he can be bought for the same price as Osimhen then Isak has to be one to go for. All the right attributes and was already shown. He is capable in the Premier League and Champions League.
Yep we should have built the team around Enzo but we spent 180m to surround him with the not ideal midfield partners. The right profile would have been someone who can cover a lot of space while being technically good too… so Onana or Palahina type of midfielder
Regarding Newcastle - no, they are not in hot waters. At least not per the latest reports from insiders. Hopefully that's not the case and Isak is available on the market.
Gallagher looks very big help for the team but building top squad that can win you titles wouldn't include him. I agree.
I like Robinson as an option given Chilwell will be with us for another 3-4 years.
On left wing - I'd look for experience at this point. Someone like Bowen. I really wanted to see Bowen in our team this season.
Will thought provoking article thank you.

Nkunku should play number 10 as he'll be more of a goal scoring threat in there
Just hope he and Caceido can gel more and not be a Lampard / Gerrard situation of one but not both.
