As Jamie Gittens finds his name splashed across social media following consistent links with the Blues, I take a look at a few other options worth considering...
I find it incredible that we aren't going for Mbuno. Although he has played primarily on the right for The Bees this season he is left footed. Twenty goals in the Prem this season and with his pace and ability to deliver into the box or attack directly, he will be the perfect foil for Delap. The big plus is that he is proven in the Prem and at just over 60m , the price is not ridiculous, especially if we could unload Madueke in an (unofficial) swap. Then again if we had managed to get the performances that Nuno has out of CHO, we wouldn't even be discussing this.
Nicely written @Jai, a wordsmith, my guess you did an english lit degree, the Times needs you along with Clarksons wit.

Historic wingers, Robben and Duff those were the days.
Jai I really enjoyed your article with some interesting insights supported by some great statistics. It really makes you think and I think most of us can go with you the number of LWs available of a real high-quality of you and far between.
The Gittens noise gets louder every day and I wouldn’t be disappointed, although Simons would be my preference. I’m also not against us going for two with the second being a more experienced player a.k.a. Gnabry or Sané to share the workload and their experience. I guess this is all subject to Sancho going back to Manchester United and what other business CFC might do with wide players.
Can't believe how much disrespect Garnacho gets especially as he plays in this Utd team, he's a player that could explode - think I must be one of the only Chelsea fans that taking him Gittens every day of the week. He's so direct, always trying to score or assist - 20 years old with 2 & half years PL experience.
Great article! I personally am growing more convinced Garnancho should be the choice. His production is insane and if we don’t sign another Striker then he can provide g/a as well. He is also incredibly young and the attitude can change in another squad

choosing wingers these days is like a round of Marry < Shag > Divorce, all depends where you are on venn diagram coming into center or going out

Excellent article, Jai!! Chelsea should target Xavi Simons or Jamie Gittens in my opinion for the LW.
Surely Chelsea purchasing more Fofanas should be avoided.
Nothing against them personally, but neither of the recent ones have really worked out.
Or maybe it is third time lucky.
Great article thanks Jai
Great beginning Jai. Balanced and some good prospects.

Simons would be my choice.
