Glad you finally saw what the most of us had seen since the wolves defeat in december. I understand you were against the hire and fire culture but Pochettino is simply not the man for the job. Though, this is the fault of the owners mainly, because they choose inept sporting directors and staff (apart Joe Shields), and tried to implement this failure model and new culture.

Hi Luke, who would you personally want to take over from Poch? 4 managers in 2 years can’t be a good look or an attractive job anymore…

Agree Myles, and initially I would have given Poch the length of his contract to turn it around, as I have said many times I am SO against keep chopping and changing managers but in 10 months there’s been no real improvement of any means in my opinion which is enough for us to think about parting ways with Poch.

My biggest issue is the replacement, I am really struggling to decide who I would want to replace him if he goes, who would be your choice?

Yeah I fully agree with you mate. I’m not saying we should keep him next season but sometimes managers kick on in the second season - arteta for example seemed to improve arsenal year by year to the point where they are now challenging. I’m worried that we’re gonna get rid of Poch, bring a new manager in and be in the exact same position. Like yourself, there’s no real top candidate out there who I can honestly say can improve us. If it was down to me, id maybe keep him and give him 6 months next season to prove what he can do. Change recruitment strategy and target prem experience, physicality and dive a bit deeper into the scouting to target players with a strong mentality and leadership qualities. I said on a previous article that I find it strange that there’s no synergy between the SDs and manager and they just seem to be playing football manager and targeting players they like, rather than trying to find players to fit the managers system

At some point we will have to give a manager time and a chance to prove themselves and I really thought it would be Poch

I've been disappointed in Poch, but there is the potential for improvement. Poch's Spurs were pretty leaky in year1, but much better for all but his final season with them.

Think the question of a replacement has to be reliably addressed before sacking another manager.

(I say this though with rapidly waning confidence in Poch's tactical ability)
