I agree with most of the article, lots of outgoings needed, a CEO is needed as well along with a new SD. I would personally prefer Zorc from Dortmund or Kahn from Bayern and then sacking WinStewart and bringing in Hasan Salihamidžić.
However, if we bring in any of the players you listed (excluding loanees returning) I'd be incredibly disappointed. None of those players bar maybe Robinson, are good enough right now. Sesko could get there but I feel like we need Toney or Osimhen as someone truly reliable in front of the net. I agree we need a keeper, but fail to see how Mammardashvili is any different to Petrovic. He's a good shot stopper with subpar to mediocre distribution. I'd rather go for an elite shot stopper like Mike Maignan or a more well rounded Diogo Costa for £5-10mm more. Modric will be 39 in September, he's not a CB and has loads of mileage I don't think this makes any sense at all even if we want to add experience. Again, I completely agree that we desperately need help defensively but Max Kilman is not good enough to play for Chelsea full stop. He has a very poor tackle rate, and is basically a worse version of Radu Dragusin by every metric as well as the eye test. What is the point of brining in squad players who aren't good enough to start? Why would we go buy Jack Grealish? He doesn't put the ball in the net, will cost a fortune in wages, and won't be a talisman for the fee he'll command. This "PL proven" point has been proven untrue over & over. Didier Drogba, Eden Hazard, Thiago Silva, never played in the PL before they came here and became legends. Lukaku was PL proven and flopped. We need to find a manager and start buying players to fit a manager's system, rather than buying for the sake of buying and trying to make them fit. Koulibaly was seen as one of the premier CBs in world football but didn't fit the system and failed. Always appreciate your thoughts and insights Score, thanks for the hard work. UTC
Not that I think Poch should stay but in fairness, Gallagher, Gusto (offensively),Jackson and Palmer have improved since the start of the season. I think Mudryk is now showing signs of improvement (though there is much to do)
The real problem has been defensively - no idea, no clue, the last two goals we have conceded are flagrant examples of this.
1- Eghbali to give up control of the footballing side. Just approve the budget and set tone at the top with the mission statement being to be the best in every aspect and win
2 - hire a CEO of football. Someone with pedigree in the game and a good footballing mind.
3 - Hire a SD with pedigree to work under him / someone who can negotiate and agree contracts
4 - remove or move the current SDs to different roles.
5 - sort out the medical and rehab departments
6 - sign PL ready players for striker, CB, GK, midfielder and an attacker /winger Add a back up LB. Address the key issues such as physicality & leadership.
7 - stop ignoring the academy and seeing it as just a pure profit avenue. Plan about the top talents there and agree a pathway for them.
8 - get ex players involved in different roles more.
I've got my outgoings outlined in the winter and those match yours pretty much 100%. However, adding any incomings too, that would a massive supper overwhelming business to do in the summer. Impossible and unrealistic to accomplish to me. We need to prioritize both type of transfers and a CEO at the same time. I just don't see that happening and will be curious to find out where again we will drop the ball.
Great article, agree with everything with the exception of DDF. He has shown promise at Burnley but his attitude in Germany on his first loan is major concern for me.
Grealish? Seriously? He's a younger Sterling. And scores fewer goals. His biggest talents are falling down and fixing his hair. NOPE.
Another clear out of the squad? Come now guys, that’s just fantastical stuff - it won’t happen!

Sorry, I can't think of any players that have improved under Pochettino
