What Chelsea need to do this summer (Sesko, Branthwaite, and Modric arrive!), What's going on with these injuries? PREVIEW: Chelsea vs Burnley, Luke Rushbrook latest, News roundups, More..
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 29th March 2024!
Morning all!
It’s Friday and that means two great things, we have reached the weekend again, and Chelsea are back without an international game or waistcoat wearing bland manager in sight!!
Well, the last bit might be debatable (not the waistcoat bit), but I’ll let you all ponder and debate that one! I’m joking of course, lets get up for this game and lets push on for a big win! A comfortable win, I hope, and to be honest, should really happen against a team as poor as Burnley have been this season. No easy game in this league of course, but you can read my full build up, team news, predictions, and much more in the preview here.
Injuries continue to be a big problem at this club, unfortunately, with the news of Romeo Lavia missing the entire season coming out this week after the midfielder suffered a setback (yep, another one). So what on earth is going on here? Chelsea fans have a right to be very angry about this, but where does the blame lay? I’ve pondered all of that in here.
You can grab all the rest of your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in one place in yesterday's live blog here. I’ve been running the blogs again all week and you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s been manageable (just), so we are all good to keep going with these :)
The summer transfer window is on it’s way, and Luke put his summer plans out this week. This was a well-received and very interesting article. Luke made some good picks for what he would do in the summer. So I decided to do my own version of this article, and you can read all of my plans for what I want to see in here. It’s not overly dissimilar to Luke’s, but there are some key differences!
And speaking of Luke, you can read his latest article of the week here. This is Luke’s opinions on Romelu Lukaku and whether Chelsea should consider keeping him/taking him back this summer!
We also had the latest Podcast out yesterday, so do please go an listen to the ramblings of myself and Jai here, if you haven’t already, and if you are at all interested!
I’ll be back on Sunday, but of course, if there’s anything I need to jump on and report or speak about before then, I’ll be on the Substack App chat section! Oh and of course, I’ll start the live match discussion thread on there ahead of the game on Saturday too, so please do join me there!
Have a cracking weekend all!
Peace, Si.
