Conference League Winners 😂😂😂 not currently likely with the total lack of form and depth suddenly not looking 👀 so good.

As always your articles are a great read. You must be bored hitting your head against that wall

Well I think Mitch & Umair nailed it re Tuchel there is a track record of dummy spitting that unfortunately Mars what should be an excellent managerial record and you can say the same about Conte and also Mourinho (the ground he walks on is Holy).

I like reading your articles but there is massive Tuchel revisionism going on here.

"Thomas Tuchel was - and probably still would be if we were run properly - a perfect fit for the modern Chelsea, because he was a winner, a tactical genius, but also because at Chelsea he blended the possession-based technical football with a more pragmatic style, which moved the ball forward at pace, with wing backs driving forward and getting the ball forward quickly, and it worked."

I watched us implode under him. I saw his last 6 months. It was some of the worst football I have ever seen. Our start to the season when he was sacked was horrific. We were in relegation form and he showed no clue of how to fix it. We were battered at Leeds. Lost against Southampton. On xG we were atrocious. The football was as it is now - slow, boring, passing the ball sideways at the back and creating nothing.

I had concerns about Tuchel at the time too. Even before the takeover.

I think he was genuinely burned out after going through a divorce and carrying us through sanctions at the same time, and should have stood down and taken a sabbatical, I actually mentioned it at the time.

Player power was toxic at the club at the time and these two combined with an added role after the takeover became a toxic mix.

I think a structure where he is just coaching (which he prefers) and has no influence on recruitment works better for him, and he’s done well with young players.

I’m not arguing we should take him back, more using him as an example of the style of manager we need in terms of football and mentality.

yeah loved Tuchel but there were worrying signs under him too... but i think the premise stands that a big club like ours need a big name manager. Get me Inzaghi, Simeone, Alonso... get me someone who hates losing.

With a young squad like ours we need a winner at the helm who can shape their mentalities. Coaches like Potter, Poch and Meresca are not those guys.

As a wise man (and a winner once said:

“When you start accepting defeats just because your team play well and your players gave it their best, in terms of their application and commitment. “I think when you get used to it, big clubs stop being big clubs.
