With the highest xG in the league I think Pochettino has proven that he can get the better of almost every team we have faced. Our inability to convert cannot be totally laid at his feet. We would be having a different conversation if we had players that had the composure to take some of those chances - this will come.
With the return of Nkunku (and hopefully Chukwuemeka soon) Poch is close to reverting to plans laid in the pre-season. He just has to take advantage of the depth of his squad and play the right players in positions, and not have certain players (out of position) on the pitch for the sake of it.
i think the misprofiling bit is down to the fact that he does not have his preferred profiles at LB, RB and midfield.
His previous PL teams have had physical, tall, pacy fullbacks. Maatsen and Cucurella are not that plus the fact that we are a pretty short team so playing Levi / Disasi as a fullback covers for the lack of height.
I would like to see Enzo a bit deeper too but again i think thats due to the fact that Connor gives him alot more legs / coverage deeper when the oppostion breaks.
Maybe he should throw caution to the wind and play with proper fullbacks and Enzo deeper... it might not turn out to be as bad as he might think.
Totally agree Umair. I would go further and say he’s no different to most managers in having a preferred formation and it’s not his fault but both his key players for that formation have picked up injuries. It’s also worth noting that Enzo played the the most forward of the three in the midfield of Benfica. It is therefore not a strange role for him and from what I read his preferred role. He also played this role in the recent internationals for Argentina.

Poch is the man!
I still see no set style of play.
Only slow one paced walking football,as I call it.
Wheres the high energy pressing game, we were promised.
Injuries yes, but as you said Will.
He team selections , poor game management and substitutions have been too late.
We have also conceded similar goals all season.
Colwill getting done 3 times, players cutting in and shooting.
Endless crosses coming in and conceded headed goals.
Why has he not targeted this...
We got a bit of luck last night and for me, Pochettino still has a lot of things to improve on, before I believe in him.

Interesting Enzo comment
Vivek what does the manager have to do to gain your trust?.
After Potter anyone coming in had a low bar to achieve success but supporter expectations sometimes are over ramped.
For example some can only see the mistakes and fail to balance the good points against them.
