Thanks for another good article, Luke. Yes, get it off your chest!

I like you to worry about the media reaction. We get to everything these days without everyone settling for at least 24 hours, see how things pan out and quite often what the real information and facts are. The Celtic rumour was just a good example of a lot of hot air.

Additionally, as you timestamp your article, we can also see how much changed in the 6 to 8 hours that followed. Thank you as always for your interest and eloquent point of view.

What the exact rule for the 6 European loan spots? Does age matter with that limit? Where can I find the actual text of the rule?

Ah, so 21 and under don't count. Now that Caleb Wiley move makes a lot more sense. He, for example, wouldn't count against the 6 spot limit.

Good evening Luke, you are right to get concerns of your chest it's no good for your mental health to keep it all in. I would also like to get something off my chest and before I do I would like to say I watched my first game at the bridge in 1980 so I'm used to seeing a lot of s*** and not a Johnny come lately. First of all the appointment of Maresca. In a word, WTF!! I remember seeing links to Ipswich Town boss McKenna and I just thought it was some s*** journalism and now we've got a guy of a similar pedigree! I live in Rutland these days so I'm surrounded by Leicester fans and some of their die hard season ticket holders couldn't give a damn that he's leaving. There thankful he got them promotion but he bored them to tears with his style of play and they were favourites for promotion anyway. Secondly our recruitment so far this summer is the sort of signings I would expect Bournemouth or Crystal Palace to make. There's not a game changer amongst them. Look at Man City's squad building and yet we have spent a billion and we may scrape Europa League again. Hands up if things turn out differently from the previous two years under this lot and I would gladly hold my hands up on this site if please God my concerns are proven wrong this campaign, but I don't think I've ever felt so flat going into a new season as I do right now.

Thanks Luke as always. My excitement for this season has almost disappeared especially when I heard we were linked with a Celtic midfielder. We don’t need any more we need a striker and have done for a while. I’m not as positive about the ownership as you and I was concerned from the first transfer window. They had a contract to spend on recruitment and to re-develop Stamford Bridge so they are not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. It is just becoming a bit embarrassing.

I worry more about our fans than anything when we have a few bad results

He won't be getting any time from me. A ludicrous appointment who will be gone by the time the players come back from the international break in October. His style of play is mind numbingly boring to watch and is easily worked out. Playing Reece James in midfield and neutralising one of the best attacking threats we have tells me all I need to know. By the way. Any number of managers would've got Leicester promoted last season. They had the best squad in that division by a country mile

Still have to get over the finish line don’t you, could say the same about a lot of previous squads and top4, titles etc etc, an expectation on paper and completing the job are different things in any walk of life

We’ve seen many teams in the championship with decent squads fail to win the league as predicted too

Reece has played as many games in defence as he has inverting, 2 apiece

I'm going to resist getting on Maresca’s back this season if we have a poor run of results. A month ago, it was reported that the sporting directors next season will have:

- total control for the composition of the squad, which includes incomings and outgoings

- total responsibility for style of play. If they deem that the style needs to be changed mid-season then maresca will be instructed to implement

- even set the times for 1st team training.

The Head coach is there to coach.

It seemed extreme at the time, but seeing how our transfer activity has been conducted over these past 4 weeks, it seems to back up this report.

So fine - if Winstanley and Stewart have all this responsibility and influence then the buck totally falls on them.

Could not agree more, we need to ship out at least 8-10 players before month end 👍🏻
