@The Score. Thanks for an excellent article you knock it out the court again. A really well written balanced view showing that it’s not all negative and there’s a real positives.
I agree with you that the ownership have to delegate and allow the sporting directors to do their job as otherwise what’s the point of having them on board. When you look at the list of players that you have mentioned it again is not all bad and there’s a lot of positivity. Those listed, plus the new young players that are to come in and one or two returning from Loan provides a really good bedrock to develop a seriously challenging squad. Yes, it will be disappointing that both TC and Connor are likely to be sold but I suspect that’s just reality of where we are in the development of the club as a whole and the squad in particular. Let’s be honest Both would be squad players if we have a fully fit, squad of players. I would also like many others ideally like to keep both. Very much again appreciate your time and effort in pulling this together.
On the owners not communicating enough - they certainly say more than Roman ever did. And I don’t think any club owners/investors are particularly good communicators.
Second - in the context of such a well thought-through piece, quotes like this -
‘There was a suggestion in some quarters the other day’ - Just aren’t good enough. Unattributed rumours and nothing more.
Great article and I appreciate how it ties up the strategy beginning to come together at all levels of the club.
Really great article. It seems you either go the Man City way or the Real Madrid way. Thanks.
Brilliant article really balanced view and interesting to see how it all fits together as the whole club
Really good article!
The only thing missing at the club when he walks in on day 1 is a world class medical department!
One of your best.

Great piece. But…
