It was far beyond expectations or even hopes. Truly gave me hope for a potential top 4 finish.
1st four games B-
Bad luck versus the Hammers. Solid play, poor play, a bit shaky.
Games 5-7 C
Awkward lineups and frustrating play.
Games 8-10 A
Results were great. A bit lucky versus Brighton, but I’ll take it!! So great to beat those wankers! Fulham & Burnley matches showed preseason type potential.
Yes B or B- is about right but as well as all the new players, Poch is new to Chelsea and it can take time to find your feet - before anyone mentions Spuds they were a much more settled squad start of season and Maddison was a great buy 😡. And the injuries* have been mind-blowing - it's like having a dozen Pulisics in the squad! Selecting players in their wrong positions is the big minus point - hopefully Poch will get past that before long. Generating a happier camp and getting the players onside is the big plus and I am confident that his grade will increase to B+ and then the As before too long.

Nice Jonathon easy to agree with .. I think Si must have had some tough teachers at school.
I’d mark Poche a little higher personally after all brand new squad, starts in time for preseasons, possibly not totally aware of who can play in what position and the injuries.
What you don’t need is a manager trying to find his players best position in November ,,, December,, ,,,,,,, ,,,,.. and still not working it out in may. Perhaps we have nearly got that out of the way and the team is becoming settled with great players to come back from injuries.
Btw the Fofana injury concerns me most of all will he ever play again?
Yes I think Fofana is a real concern. His injury record (even before joining Chels) was terrible and I am sure Leicester are patting themselves on the back getting £70 million for a player whose game time is next to non-existent - though I am sure, of course, they would not wish such serious injuries on the lad. I have to say Reece really worries me too - seems to get injured within a couple of games or so of returning to the team....and takes ages to recover with setbacks along the way. Nkunku and Chilly tend to have at least one major injury a season. Lavia is a bit worrying as well - I am pretty sure he had a big injury at Southampton before joining Chels. Hoping Carns is not another one! Christ, it doesn't pay to think too much - I will stop and have a drink!
Ange has done well at Spurs, but also has had the huge advantage of Son, an A-grade goal scorer, in their team.
They've played well enough, positive football, but have outperformed most metrics because he takes his chances.
I'm happy with Poch. A lot of the criticism of him from a month or so ago is ebbing away as the team starts to gel and we start to find the goal. It's as though he had a plan that the rest of us could not see.
