SPTC community now split over #PochOut, What David Ornstein's comments mean for Chelsea's future, Marc Cucurella reborn? Has Noni Madueke turned a corner? Transfer news latest, More..
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 7th May 2024!
Morning all,
No midweek game for Chelsea this week with just three fixtures remaining this season. It’s getting to a vital period to see whether we will be playing European football next season or not, something the club REALLY want to get. Chelsea’s next fixture is away to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
Until then, we’ll have ALL the content here building up to these last three games and also, the summer transfer window!
Get all your latest Chelsea transfer news, quotes, and all the other general Blues news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here.
David Ornstein of The Athletic had some very interesting comments and news over the weekend. And our guy The Score has dissected them and what they mean for Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino going forward. Big quotes in here.
The SPTC community are still #PochOut, but only just. As I have explained, I’m never going to change an opinion formed over a long course of time just off the back of a few games. But I do rate the opinions of this community, so it was important to gauge the latest views on Pochettino, and you can get those in here.
Time to hand out some flowers now (I much prefer to write these types of articles every week than gloomy ones 😂😎).
Marc Cucurella is first up, and his new inverted role for Chelsea has seen him reborn as a Blue. I think his role has actually been vital for how well we have played in the last few games, and it’s time for some props here.
Another player who has received plenty of criticism this season is Noni Madueke. But it’s important to give praise where it’s due, and he has certainly earned that praise in recent games. Time to get some from me now in here.
Right then, please do join me on the live blog from around 8.30am on the home page!
Peace, Si.
I agree with the sentiments in this article but then I always thought Cucu had what it takes, but just wasn't showing it. I can see more of Madueke offers now and even Poch has done better.
Thus I am a typical fan, two good or bad results in a row are enough to change my opinion. Bugger this long term stuff.
A minor miracle getting over 50 pts out the current bag of dolly mixtures of a squad put together by the not so dynamic duo Winstanley & Stewart. If anyone requires there contracts terminated id start with those two
