The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Thursday 9th November 2023!
Morning all!
I hope you are having a good week and may I welcome you to Thursday’s Chelsea newsletter, pleasure to have you checking in with us this morning.
Today I have to attack what I have been trying to avoid all this week and that is looking ahead to the Manchester City game on Sunday! So I will be previewing that later on the site.
But before I get into that, I’ve been reflecting a little bit more on our excellent thrashing of Spurs on Monday night. I mean, this result had John Terry getting drunk on tequila and dancing on his bar this week, THAT is how much it meant to us all!!
However, there were some concerns, some that I have already highlighted this week in my articles. But I have another one here banging the drum on how this squad needs a bit more balance added to it, and we can do that in January with a new striker to start with. I think we need to profile proven experience as well as young players, and balance is hugely important going forward.
I watched the Spurs game back and realised I was a little harsh on Moises Caicedo’s performance. It’s always good to give it a second watch. I don’t think he was amazing, but he deserved more credit than I gave him. I have an article here on Caicedo so far and how he is starting to go up through the gears with us. The scary thing is he hasn’t even got out of third gear yet!
Next up, an extensive sourced article with a difference. I have the latest updates on Chelsea’s new striker search in here. But as well as info, I have given my opinion on what I believe is happening right now and how it will pan out. News on Ivan Toney, an interesting snippet on Victor Osimhen, and Benjamin Sesko also mentioned in this.
Luke Rushbrook was on hand with his usual daily article for us and this week we got him on the polls again! He’s asked about new striker decisions, centre backs, and some random life questions as well! It’s a cracker, and you can take part here.
The full news roundups from the last 24 hours can be found here, collecting all your Chelsea news in one place whether it’s quotes, transfer news, or anything else.
Myself and Jai will be jumping on the latest Podcast this afternoon and that will be live on the site for about 6pm today! We have a lot to speak about so expect a lively show!
Have a good Thursday!
Peace, Si.
Any updates on Carney injury return?
