The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 10th September 2024!
Morning,
Welcome to the latest Chelsea FC Newsletter from SPTC, and boy is there a lot going on during this international break and not just my laptop breaking (sorry for lack of posts on the blog yesterday but I’ve managed to borrow a temp laptop and have got a new one arriving today). I think most of us will be pleased to have Chelsea playing football again at the weekend just to give us all a different focus once again.
But the biggest story this week has of course been the ownership breakdown and divide. Whilst it hasn’t got heated or anything like an actual civil war at all, there are clear disagreements, and it’s become clear to me that Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali/Clearlake cannot continue to run this club together. So a decision needs to be made and needs to be made soon, so that the players and the fans know what is going on and where we all stand.
We sent a firm message out to the board yesterday in the format of polls and comments via the bulk of The SPTC community on here. It’s clear that the majority want Todd Boehly to run this club over Eghbali/Clearlake, because 93% is a figure that does not lie. Check out those poll results in full in here, and our messages to the board.
The Score probably echoes most of us with his latest article here. He says he’s tired of the drama and we just need to get Chelsea winning games again!
Some transfer news now from our own sources. And with our attack looking so full of quality talent right now, where does this leave Mykhailo Mudryk? He should have gone on loan in the summer in my opinion, but there are already some early plans for him for January. You can get the full lowdown on that in here.
Check out all the rest of the latest rumours, quotes, news, and everything else around Chelsea in the live blog from yesterday in here. This covers all the Chelsea news from the last 24 hours.
Luke up now to round things up for this newsletter. He noticed that John Obi Mikel has vastly changed his tune on the owners after he met Paul Winstanley and they ‘tried’ to sign Victor Osimhen, Mikel’s best mate apparently. Wonder why he changed his stance so drastically…. (we aren’t stupid by the way, sigh). Peep that in full in here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am on the home page!
Peace, Si.
