Todd isn't "perfect", literally no owner is. The mess the previous ownership left behind in 2022 - no data, barely any recruitment or commerical structure - would have been tough for anyone, yet alone someone new to football.

Behdad was as equally obsessed with Brighton as Boehly, if not more so. It's become clear, it was him who pushed to sack Tuchel more than Todd, and him who mainly fell out wth Tuchel, with Boehly as the mediator.

The summer 2022 signings were pretty much all Tuchel recommendations, Boehly trusted his judgement, he didn't pick any of those players, hell he didn't even want to be sporting director, but Marina had to go due to the self-reported allegations and Cech left. I mean, Behdad trusted the judgement of Winstanley and we ended up overpaying for Mudryk who clearly isn't good enough.

Interesingly, if we'd kept Potter till the summer, based on his points per game, we'd likely have finished higher than we did by sacking him and appointing Lampard. Which again, was Behdad's idea, Todd felt we should give Potter till the summer.

I felt Poch earned another season, but I'm not unhappy with Maresca. He needs time, Todd is right in saying stability helps create success - it has at City and Liverpool, and even Arsenal to a degree. Constantly changing managers won't create success.

Whoeever ends up as owner, its clear both parties want to create a winning team on the pitch, both are ambitous. It's simply a case of who you trust more with Chelsea's future, and people are entitled to their views.

People who talk about that first window under Boehly seem to forget that we were sanctioned up until that point, which meant that Boehly could not hire any sporting directors or any other staff prior to the takeover and thus we were behind all the other teams in doing groundwork for getting deals done. So he was essentially forced to be the sporting director himself and he just got whatever Tuchel wanted.

Obviously it wasn't ideal but I have faith that he'll have Chelsea's best interests at heart and actually sees us as a football club and not an asset like Clearlake do.
