Morning all!
Happy Halloween to any of our community members who ‘celebrate it’ or just simply enjoy it! Have a great evening and enjoy watching your horror films, going trick or treating with the kids, or whatever it is you might be getting up to!
Meanwhile, Chelsea are pondering new centre back options for 2024. I have some names, news, and explaining the exact plans for that in here. BIG sourced article this one.
From the back end of the pitch to the top end now, and we are honing in on some comments made by Alan Shearer on Nicolas Jackson after the Brentford defeat on Saturday. The Premier League legend was one of the best strikers around, and he certainly knew how to score a goal. So when he speaks about what’s needed to be a good striker, it’s worth taking note of. But there is one ‘bigger picture’ element that Alan, and many others, are forgetting about here. I speak on that in this one here.
In the spirit of Halloween, Chelsea’s next five games in the Premier League looks awfully harrowing and super scary! The next run of games take us well into December and they can truly be season defining. Chelsea could end in a cauldron of a relegation battle. Or they could end up knocking on the door of a European spot. I am playing devils advocate (yes, that is another Halloween pun) in this one here.
Luke Rushbrook has his latest article out for us today here. This one looks at Chelsea struggling to break down low blocks, as I did yesterday. But it’s great to read it from a different prospective and also, from a qualified scout!
Finally, get all your latest Chelsea stories across the last 24 hours in one place in here.
Right, I’ll be on the live blog again today from 8am as usual and I’ll mainly be concentrating on trying to drop Halloween puns into every single story I report today (allow it)…… 🦇
Peace, Si.
