Chelsea's plans are being accelerated

A lot has been said about Chelsea’s potential pursuit of signing a new centre back.

Fabrizio Romano has been reporting on it over the weekend, and others are starting to put their names out on the Chelsea shortlist that they are being told about.

I exclusively reported weeks ago on here that Chelsea are looking at potentially signing a new centre back. I was told it is likely to be for the summer next year, but a pursuit in January is now looking like it could happen. Sources are saying plans have been accelerated a bit and the club are now searching for a centre back for more than deep cover. They want a ‘difference maker’ for the here and now.
