The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 31st January 2024!
Morning all,
We have finally got to the end of the longest month in the history of months. I swear it’s been January for the last two years now!
The transfer window spills into tomorrow of course, with it ending at 11pm tomorrow evening, and that is a good thing because we actually play tonight!
I do wonder if there will still be any late distractions and potential deals advancing at that point, but hopefully we will be smart and move any player from the equation if it is.
Chelsea travel to Liverpool tonight to play in the 8.15pm Premier League match. You can grab my deep dive preview in here covering facts, stats, predictions, head to head, current form, team news, and much more!
And for any late transfer rumours or deals that might be done, as I said yesterday, it’s best to check in on the live blog from yesterday here. As that is where I will have any sourced news at this late stage with things changing fast, and all the rest of what the other outlets are saying. This is the most updated news you will get from across the last 24 hours.
I also wrote an article yesterday morning which is basically explaining everything we have tried to do, and might still do, this transfer window based on what sources have told me. It’s always been about opportunities, price tags, outgoings, and the right profiles this month. Chelsea never planned to panic buy, which is a good thing. Much more from sources in here.
I also have a sourced article out on Harvey Vale, which is something a little different and one I really enjoyed writing. Vale is a player I have always really appreciated, and he is doing very well at Bristol Rovers this season. But don’t take my word for it, take the words from Rovers sources here. This also covers his future and what might be next for the 20-year-old who is arguably having the most successful loan move of all our players this season.
And the last one for this newsletter comes from our guy Luke. Ever the optimist, Luke is asking, does Mauricio Pochettino deserve more credit in his latest article which can be found in full here.
I’ll be on the live blog again this morning from around 8am, so please do join me there on the home page. I might be twiddling my thumbs, or it could go mad, who knows? None of us! I’ll also be building up for tonight’s game on the blog, so there will be plenty to chat about!
Peace, Si.
