Good Evening Ladies and Gents,
As you all know I am quite the optimist and a bit of a positivity merchant, something that isn’t always a good thing. But, I have been pretty calm and content this season under Poch, some points maybe a little too much.
I just find it really hard to be reactionary, as much as I would love to be sometimes. Si does occasionally joke with me about how overly positive I am, which I absolutely love, as we have said before between us we balance in the middle where sometimes Si is pessimistic and I am optimistic!
Anyway, on to Poch, around 3 weeks ago people were calling for his head and at half time v Aston Villa there were multiple people/accounts praising how well we were playing, crazy that……..
We obviously lack a clinical/ruthless edge, that isn’t Poch’s fault in my view. We clearly are not the perfect team or finished article, BUT we are improving game by game.
I have said countless times this season, we will have better results and we will have worse results than our last performance, that comes with the nature of being a young side that is developing and learning whilst under the guidance of a very detailed manager, it takes time to learn the Poch way and how he plays.
At times it can be incredibly frustrating but also at times it is lovely to watch, but again that is just the development we need. The best and quickest way to learn is to make mistakes and we have made a fair few this season, but we have also developed and look like a team that are learning from our manager and learning to play with each other.
We also have to consider the ridiculous amount of injuries we have suffered this season, it has been far from smooth sailing….
The Verdict:
In my opinion Poch deserves some credit whilst also acknowledging there is still a long way to go until we are the finished article.
I wrote an article a few weeks ago about Patience, the project etc. etc. and it is something we all need to understand if we are ever going to get away from the hire and fire culture at the club.
We are in a cup final, 4 points off 6th place and have a potentially favourable FA Cup draw IF we beat Aston Villa in the replay.
Thank you all for reading, as always please give me your thoughts.

Old school mentality Luke. I love it. Chelsea has spoiled me the past 10 years. We aren't the Chelsea of old anymore.
Luke good to hear it’s time the record was changed as the groves are a tad worn out and the negativity scratchy.
