Sources: Big updates on Desire Doue, Karim Adeyemi, & Mathys Tel, Sources: Trevoh Chalobah's future, Cucurella was scared to go out in London, Throwback match, Spain win Euros, Argentina win Copa!!
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 15th July 2024!
Morning all,
Spain are the Champions of Europe, and Argentina are the Copa America Champions! Spain have won the Euros, and that means that Marc Cucurella is a European Champion!! But commiserations to Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher who miss out. Enzo Fernandez is also a champion, with Argentina beating Colombia over night. Palmer was used as a sub once again by Gareth Southgate, and he once again almost saved him with an equalising goal. But Spain were the better side and went on to win. Huge congratulations to Cucurella and Enzo!!
Back to the Chelsea content now, and before the final I rounded up all the latest Chelsea news from across Sunday in the same place. You can find that here, covering all the latest transfer rumours and everything else.
Meanwhile, I have two sourced transfer news articles to go through.
The first one is on Chelsea’s new winger pursuit this window after missing out on Michael Olise. The Blues are keen on Desire Doue from Rennes. I have the full inside story on that one in here, as well as key updates on interest in Mathys Tel and Karim Adeyemi. Not to be missed this one.
The next sourced article is on the future of Trevoh Chalobah, who has already had offers coming in this window. What is going on there then and why hasn’t anything developed yet? Find that out and much more in here.
The next article is on Marc Cucurella, who has just won the Euros! He did an interview over the weekend and I wanted to hone in on some comments for reflection. He was scared of walking around London at one point, and that is never acceptable. Words and quotes on that one in here.
We also had Luke’s article from the weekend that hasn’t been sent out yet. So I’m sending it out now! It’s a throwback article to a classic Chelsea game. Nice little switch up of content here from the anchor man!
Right, join me on the live blog this morning from 8.30am! I’ll be on and off there a bit this morning and it might not be so regular, as I came back to my parents house last night to watch the game with family and mates! I also might have a bit of a sore head and lack of voice from shouting, so bare with…. 😂
Peace, Si.
Didn’t see the Copa America match but watched the game in Berlin and it’s clear that Chelsea won the Euros. Wonderful Palmer goal, and an excellent cross for the winning goal from the loopy Hair Bear. Now roll on pre-season…
