I’m far from praising him, I think stylistically his football is a lot nicer to watch than Poch but there are as many cons as there are pros to RDZ which is way I am leaning in a different direction
Yea i dont get the logic in the original post there. Agree with what you say here as well. Bringing in someone who has got the best out of 180m of talent and our best young CB is another huge tick for him. My 2 cents, for what its worth, is that RDZ would do a good job with this team but could there be someone who could do an either better job? who knows.
Our team totally and supportive your comments Luke. I am not sure he is that good, he had the benefit of leveraging off of Graeme Potters work and an excellent fascinating team buying players of quality. Defensively, he seems to have the same problems as we already have, and also I think there is an arrogance about him that has yet to be earned from success. I suspect his next job is not in the Premier League.
Hypothetically, say that Poch was not our manager for the past season. Say Lampard stayed this season, but everything was exactly as it is now.
How high would Pochettino be on people's manager wish list?
I do not think that Poch will succeed with this current squad, but, given time, he will improve them. I feel that RDZ is the same. IMO, they are both stopgap managers but we cannot compete for the top managers this summer (Amorim, Nagelsmann).
I have said many times that all I want from a manager is to have some passion, fight, and desire to win. Same from the players. We are lacking in all of them at the moment, and will be even worse when we sell Gallagher.
What I would give for a Tuchel-Conte style confrontation from our manager.
De Zerbi would be the final piece to make Chelsea into Brighton 2.0
No freaking Thanks. Can’t we for once look elsewhere for a new coach than Brighton? We act like they are some sort of gods of football. They’re not.
Why not look at coaches like Amorim, Flick, Motta, Michel, Italiano or Conceicao instead? Espeixally Flick who i believe fits this squad and has a really good style of play, + his experience is valuable.
The issue with a lot of those coaches are we will not be first choice for a lot of them. I completely agree with you and some of them plus others should be looked at.
One thing we can all agree on is there is no standout candidate right now.
What options do we have
Chelsea will not hire tuchel, Mourinho or conte
Amorim to Liverpool, naglessman to either Germany or Bayern flick to Barcelona
Dezerbi will also be hired by a top club
We had to stick with pochettino as no other coach is available with spineless football
In my view we should be going for Xavi as he has been developing young players and playing good football
I don’t know enough about Xavi as a coach to comment, will do some research
BHA: 51 GF, 45 GA
CHE: 49 GF, 46 GA
I don't understand the praise he gets - Might as well stick with Poch

Sorry Luke, I wasn't clear. I meant praise from everywhere else.
But... They don't have anywhere near as good a squad as us so surely to score more and concede less is much better than what we're doing?
Of course it is, he already knows a fair few of our players quite well which is helpful. Time will tell on this one
