Question, Luke: Considering how we finished up the season, our ability to give City a good match when we played them, our Cup performances, the comeback against United, and Villa, is it fair to say our player recruitment was better than we thought earlier in the season, when we were struggling till after the New Year ?
Caicedo could be a solid example, of a complete turnaround in performance, over a relatively short period of time.
Hi Norman, I would say so, generally football fans are reactionary and impatient and generally after allowing some time not only to players and the club but also for the dust to settle, the picture tends to look brighter
Tosin has some height we need, cant say much more than that did see him play but not follow him so not memorable to me. Some scout said he was a decent lad, thats all
I think you hit them there on the head Norman. If we go back 12 months, acknowledge the amount of change that took place, the huge amount of new players that came in over an 18 month period and the change of management it was only to be expected that our improvement would be gradual as the season progressed and that’s ignoring the impact or the injuries would’ve had on that. I think time will tell and show that the recruitment was better than some people realise or want to accept.
Thanks Craige ! No doubt, the volume and nature of our injuries, seemed overwhelming at times, and Poch' seemed to have developed a good chemistry with most of the squad !
Let’s hope it is an astute a signing as it seems. My concern is he can’t get in the England squad and they are certainly not flushed with great centre backs.
Excellent analysis of Tosin Adarabioyo, Luke.
Great profile of Tosin !!!

Like the fellas above have mentioned, context is vital, so injuries etc played a huge part. Also, a young side trying to gel together

Or the manager was better than expected getting an unbalanced squad to play together given the injuries .. take your pick.
Fair comment, Andy !!!
Sorry Norman couldn’t resist it 😂😂
Really happy he's signed

Hi Nick, it’s a win win, if it doesn’t work he hasn’t cost us a penny and we can sell him cheap for profit
