Jackson is looking like he now has serious hammy issues. So the need grows. I quite agree with Osminhem and Delap. I'm not convinced by Delap but he is as good worker.
Thank you Luke for putting together and sharing. Articles like this are fantastic at this time of the year in respect of players that are under serious consideration. Your greater knowledge and experience allows everybody on this forum to have a better understanding from someone who doesn’t have a bent one way or the other. I have watched him myself a few times this season and have been quite impressed with him. I agree that he is akin to Jackson, but he is better in the air, willing to hit the ball early and from the edge of the box and also seems to link up with his teammates and create goals. Do you have any analysis that compares him with Jackson over the last couple of seasons. Thanks for all your effort.
Thank you, Luke. Perfect, just what I wanted to see. From my perspective, the data shows what my eye thought. There are definitely similarities in their playing stars but even as a Jackson fan, my perception was that Ekitike was slightly better all round. If I’m reading what you sent correctly, this would seem to confirm that, acknowledging the different divisions.
I feel like if Chelsea don't sign Osimhen then one of two things. Either:
A) Osimhen made his demands clear but Chelsea have been fooling themselves for over a year thinking they can convince him to a lower deal
or
B) Osimhen gave signals to Chelsea that they are close on a deal when in reality he never intended to sign for less than 400m/year and was just using Chelsea as leverage for other clubs
I can't imagine the issue will be anything other than wages. Osimhen must know he would cook at Chelsea and would be a legend.
Agent fees are never a problem, Chelsea happily pay them. It's transfer fee or flexibility around the fee/instalments and ridiculous wages that are the issues.
Luke, isn’t the problem here that the fee is significantly higher and perhaps out of context and that’s one of the roadblock. Add to that he also needs to be flexible himself in terms of salary unless he wants to go to Saudi only.
I think the fee is high but not too high, around 70m, it’s the wages are ridiculous around 350k I believe **for reference that is Osimhen I am talking about**

Nice one, Luke!
I do wonder whether he could play LW as well, as he did great in a two striker setup really with Marmoush

According to Si, big agent fee as well, which is part of the problem.

Is that £350k NET?
That’s what he’s asking for supposedly
