Luke thanks for this update of the players recent playing time at Leicester, the lad certainly stands out in that team.

Lets hope you regularly get the chance the chance to update us on how he is progressing.

Were he in the Chelsea team at the moment i think he might struggle but this loan move looks to be exactly the right one at the right time.

Some of his touches remind me of Palmer so here's hoping.

Thanks. I d be interested in a Bashir review. In pre season I thought he looked like he might make it. Dias I really is no genius and fofana may never fully recover so maybe there is a spot.

Hi Dave, I reviewed Bashir just before the international break in October, have a search back and let me know what you think!

I do think he has quite a lot to offer and as a player I do like him. However, I cannot see him forcing his way into the Chelsea midfield.

I think a loan to a good Italian club followed by a profitable sale, almost certainly to an Italian club, is the way to go.

Let's face it, I think ALL the players on loan will be sold on - even Bashir and Santos (if they can get a good loan for him). The fact that Chelsea are looking again at CBs confirms the club are looking to cash in on Bashir. I think Santos is the only loan player who has half a chance of becoming a Chelsea player - but I think it would mean selling Conor and Santos coming in as the squad player - not sure Poch would be happy with that!

Ngl i really don’t see at all with him. Ever since I saw the first clips when we were linked last summer I didn’t understand what people were seeing? He’s technically poor, poor passing range, poor pass appreciation. Fantastic knack for crashing the box and scoring but i feel he will never be at the level technically for Chelsea. Just feel he doesn’t warrant the hype at all bar a VERY VERY cool name.

Worst comes to worst we will make a profit, George. Although I respectfully disagree with your comments above

Agree we can make profit on him. What kind of ceiling do you think he has?

Hard to say without seeing him have a consecutive run of minutes in first team football, right now I would say mid-Prem/higher echelons of Serie A but that will fluctuate and take time. He has all of the potential to play at a top top level, it will come down to consistency, a willingness to improve and a little bit of luck (as always).

I think he has the right attitude from the small sample size I have seen of him, but time will tell!
