@Luke I had actually stopped listening to John Obi’s podcast because I could not accept the way he just 100% slagged off “his football club”. His depth of criticism was completely unbalanced and illogical at times. When I picked up on this week’s episode I went back and listened to it. His complete U-turn came as a surprise to me like yourself and I listened wondering what could I really believe in terms of what came from his mouth going forward.
Whilst it’s positive that he has more positive things to say about the club, the so-called project and one of the sporting directors, you have to take it with a pinch of sort as we have no idea as to whether this is his true belief or whether he’s previous mutterings are his true feelings. You also wonder if he genuinely was asked to engage in the situation as much as he indicated.
It’s interesting to know that former players with more considered views have been much more careful in their comments. You would not expect the likes of DD, JT or Franck to be so full on in their criticism of the club and take a more supportive approach, hoping that they can help in someway. JOM approach has surprised me although Frank LeBoeuf does not as he very much is open mouth first and worry about it later type of person.
I was wondering this as well when I was watching his podcast yesterday. Seems like a complete U turn from Mikel.
The annoying thing is that he couldn’t provide any specifics so everything is so vague and just “trust the process”.
The biggest counter argument to the Osimhen saga is why did we leave it so late in the window. PSG dropped out of the race months ago so he was always Chelsea’s to lose. There must be something else that isn’t being reported.
He’s not worth the money or the potential headaches he’d cause. PSG was smart so we were the dummies “trying” to the last minute making fools of ourselves.
Knowledge, reasoning and intelligence don’t often sit well with social media. Controversy gets the hits and they will say anything to get them. I don’t think they care much what the fans think but maybe owners on the whole never really have. At the moment the ‘project’ can’t get out of third gear and the fans feel like it’s happening to them rather than for them. There’s a huge disconnect.

Mainstream media hasn’t been trustworthy for along time.

Mikel has unfortunately joined Frank Leboeuf and others in becoming a regular source of clickbait. Just rely on Si I say !
Yeah I don’t for a second include Si in this, he’s too accurate and unbiased to be included!!
