Ladies and Gents,
Welcome back to the 2nd edition of our 23/24 season loan army report. This is a summary of what our loan players have been up to over the last week.
At the bottom of this article is a poll, if you can all vote by 10am GMT on Tuesday 26th September, my article will be out on the same day.
Lets get straight into it……
Gaga Slonina:
Just the one match since I last wrote on Slonina, a 2-1 loss to top of the table Gent. A match rating of 6.8/10.
He made 4 saves from 6, completed 91% of his passes and made 3 saves from inside the box.
I have found a highlight video that is worth a watch from this game.

Bashir Humphreys:
Bashir was an unused Sub in Swansea’s 3-0 win v Sheffield Wednesday.
Zak Sturge:
Zak was an unused Sub in Peterborough’s 1-1 away draw v Bolton.
Andrey Santos:
Andrey was not in the squad v Manchester City. A lot of people are worried about this loan move failing, I am still quite calm, we have made worse loan decisions this season.
Cesare Casadei:
This is the loan move worrying me the most at the minute, after Casadei fought to go to Serie A on loan we loaned him to Championship Leicester where he cannot break into the team.
He was rotated into the starting XI for their midweek clash where he was one of 5 changes, he played 56 minutes with a 6.6 rating out of 10. On Saturday he came off the bench for 3 minutes at home to Bristol City in a cagey 1-0 win.
Tino Anjorin:
Another substitute appearance for Tino, excellent news that he has played in 3 games in a row after a year on the sidelines, a 17 minute cameo in Portsmouth’s 2-1 win v Lincoln, where he got a rating of 6.5/10.
Omari Hutchinson:
This guy has been the star of our loan players so far this season and the Ipswich fans are raving about his performances. Omari came off the bench on the 58th Minute on Saturday and was heavily involved in the winning goal.
Tomorrow night (Tuesday 26th) Ipswich play Wolves in the Carabao Cup with Omari expected to start. I will be live in attendance and will bring a little article or comments for the live blog on Wednesday to summarise his participation in that fixture.
The stats and video below are excellent.

Harvey Vale:
Harvey showed his versatility yet again for Bristol Rovers this weekend, playing Left-back in a 4 at the back formation, completing the full 90 minutes.
He scored a 6.9/10 rating, completed 70% of his passes, created 1 big chance, had 52 touches, attempted 5 crosses and coped well defensively.
My favourite position for Harvey is LWB personally, wondering if he may transform into an attacking Full-back this season?
Charlie Webster:
Charlie completed the 2nd of his 3-match suspension this weekend. He will next be available on 7th October.
Diego Moreira:
After a brief cameo in his first game, Diego was picked to start Lyon’s 1-0 loss to Brest on Saturday, ahead of the likes of Rayan Cherki. He played 51 minutes and scored 5.7/10.
As we know diego is a raw talent and unfortunately for him he was not as involved as he would have liked to be, touching the ball just 23 times. He completed 7/10 passes, was dispossessed 3 times and failed his only dribble tried.
He did do well defensively and showed good work rate, but that is about all in a poor game for Lyon.
Mason Burstow:
Mason has started 2 games in the past week, away to Blackburn in a 3-1 win and at home to Cardiff in a 1-0 loss, playing 63 and 62 minutes respectively, he is easing his way into his first experience of Championship football.
On Wednesday night away to Blackburn he scored a 6.2/10 for his performance, completing 15/19 passes, 100% shot accuracy (1/1) and having 31 touches of the ball altogether.
He scored a 5.7/10 in Sunday’s loss to Cardiff where he completed 78% of his passes, had one shot on target (100% of shots) and only managed 15 touches in a poor performance by Sunderland.
David Datro Fofana:
On Wednesday last week DDF made an 11 minute cameo at the Bernabeu which unfortunately saw union Berlin fall to a last-minute 1-0 defeat.
Saturday he came on at half time v Hoffenheim and looked lively, he scored a 7.1/10. He made 70% of his passes had 2/2 shots on target, worked really hard defensively with some impressive stats and had a decent 33 touches in 45 mins.
This is just a snippet of how lively he was.

Angelo Gabriel:
Another really good performance from Angelo this week, coming away with his first goal involvement, an assist for the only goal in a 1-0 win for his side v Metz.
A ranking of 7.8/10 for Angelo who played 84 minutes of this match, he completed 22/30 passes (73%), created 2 big chances, had 50 touches, completed 3/6 dribbles and worked really hard defensively, competing in 10 duels, winning 5.
Dion Rankine
Dion is still out injured currently.
Which of the above performance would you like me to go into more detail about in a seperate article tomorrow (26th September)?
Thanks for reading.
Luke Rushbrook
