How do YOU want this Transfer window to end?
I want to know what is the best way to improve our squad between now and 30th August
Good Evening Ladies and Gents,
We are approaching the final 5 weeks of the window and this window, the final window of a 4 window plan has been slightly underwhelming with a hint of some smart signings.
I like the signings of Tosin, Guiu and Veiga especially, smart business, some low fees, low risk high reward and add depth. I am still a fan of the KDH signing and I know it isn’t everybody’s favourite but for me I think it is a decent signing.
The Omari Kellyman transfer was clearly a PSR stunt and only time will tell if the rather sizeable fee will be massively overpriced or whether it will turn out to be worth while.
It is clear that we are trying to sell before we buy and the likes of Kepa, Lukaku & Sarr will be leaving in the near future. Whilst Broja, Gallagher & Chalobah could still bring Chelsea in over 100m in pure profit this summer, which to me is good money. I am disgusted with how Trev in particular has been treated and in an ideal world he would stay but facts are facts and he will be leaving and will earn us a decent fee, that does not mean I agree with it.
On to incomings, we need 3 new players in my opinion, we need a Goalkeeper, an out and out No9 & a wide player. There are multiple players we could be signing so I wont go into specifics but we CANNOT cut corners when signing a GK we did that last summer with Sanchez and look we are back here again.
Djordje Petrovic is extremely unlucky in my view, whilst I also agree that he is not good enough with his feet to play “Maresca ball”. I am a fan of Petrovic but a loan or sale with profit would be fair.
With my request for a Striker, a Goalkeeper and a wide player, WHO would you choose for each of those positions?
Also, I would like to know how may signings and in which positions you believe we need with some names suggested??
For me I would like either Ramsdale, who people either love or hate, I think he would really suit Maresca. Pickford, who is getting better as he matures and gets older or Emi Martinez, his feet aren’t world class but are good. All 3 of these have key PL experience.
For the Striker role I would love Ivan Toney as I have said many many times. An odd shout but one I would be ecstatic about is Niclas Fullkrug who is the ideal profile to me.
The wide player for me the dream would be Nico Williams, but also somebody like Jack Grealish or Eberechi Eze would be excellent in my opinion.
The likelihood is none of my suggestions will be signed and these are jsut players I like and would suit the club and Maresca in my opinion.
I look forward to hearing YOUR respectful opinions and suggestions on certain players/positions.
Thanks for reading and participating!

I think the most urgent positions are GK and a winger (ideally someone who can play on the left as well as the right), however, I'd like to sign a striker too. Of the three I believe the goalkeeper is the most important, as our issue last season was the defence, not the attack and because Maresca needs a ball-playing keeper.
GK: I'd go for Diogo Costa if we have the money, however, I'd be more than happy with Valles (ideal for Maresca) or Bulka. (I don't like Jorgensen btw).
On the wing I would ideally go for Eze (versatile attacker - could even play as an advanced 8).
CF: I'd go for Alvarez, as he'd suit Maresca's vision of a striker as someone who can drop into the midfield and link-up during build-up.
A winger for me is not as essential as a GK and ST/CF.
For GK, I’d love Diogo Costa. But also think that Pickford would be a massive improvement. He is just prone to a mistake.
For ST, Ollie Watkins would be my first choice. Big fan of Julian Alvarez too. Toney would be an improvement, but is yet to offer a return following his ill-health related ‘hiatus’.
I’d be concerned about pathways if we sign a top class winger. If Estevao is meant to be as good as he is predicted to become, then signing a £70m+ winger for 6-8years would hamper this development. That said, Grealish is an absolute delight to watch (when it’s not against you). Grealish winning free kicks; palmer and RJ delivering crosses; Toney knocking them in. 😍
