Another big Champions League night for Chelsea, and another big game against Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea have a connection with this Madrid side, the two have a good history of transferring players between each other, and a busy recent head-to-head history.
In fact, since 2009, the two teams have met each other 7 times in all competitions and there is literally nothing to separate the two.
Chelsea have won 2, lost 2, and drawn 3, which pretty much sums up tonight. It will be a very tough match and is impossible to predict the outcome.
What is certain is that Thomas Tuchel will need every single player giving 100% and on form if they are to get a good result in the first leg of this knockout tie.
One man who has featured in many top European nights for Chelsea is Eden Hazard, and his former team mate Filipe Luis, who also played for Atletico Madrid, has been revealing some very funny and interesting bits of information about Hazard when they were at Chelsea together, including playing Mario Kart before games, and training with his laces untied!
Check that out here.
Meanwhile, club captain Cesar Azpilicueta will surely start tonight as usual, and he says that ‘everything has improved’ since Thomas Tuchel took charge at Chelsea, and makes some very telling admissions over Frank Lampard’s time here in a somewhat surprising interview.
Read that one here.
Transfer news anyone? As always, we have plenty of that!
Starting with Chelsea’s interest in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, read the full story on that here.
What about the speculation from the weekend that Chelsea could look to swap Callum Hudson-Odoi with Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho?
Or perhaps there is another Dortmund player Chelsea want more? Two plus two equals five right? Something like that, read about that story here.
Finally, Chelsea have never really replaced Nemanja Matic since he left the club, in terms of presence and style of play anyway. They’ve never really had a sitting midfield enforcer.
Well, it is something the board have been looking at as well, with Declan Rice being the obvious name being pursued in recent transfer windows.
But as we well know he was a Lampard target, and since he was sacked it looks unlikely that Chelsea will still pursue the West Ham midfielder.
We do have three more names for you though that we know are currently being scouted by Chelsea right now, check that out here.
