EXCL: Chelsea lay groundwork for Liam Delap! Sources: Bomb squad news with winger offers looked at, Sacking another manager wont change anything, Data shows inexperienced squads don't win titles....
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Tuesday 11th February 2025!
Morning all,
Chelsea get to go to Brighton again this coming Friday night in the opening Premier League game of the weekend, and most of us are all still seething from Saturday’s game against them! But still, it’s a chance to make amends and show up, and of course Champions League qualification is more important than the FA Cup.
We can begin with the second two articles of our summer transfer previews now as the club looks to bring in some new signings and also, address the ‘bomb squad’ yet again.
We can start there actually, and there is plenty of outgoing news and transfer updates in this sourced article here, as well as news of Chelsea being open to offers for one of their first team wingers in the summer.
The next one is an exclusive report on strikers. Chelsea have laid down some solid groundwork for Liam Delap in the summer and they would even look to try and bring him in in time to play at the Club World Cup this summer. It’s not done or close to it yet, and other names are of course still being spoken with as well, but you can round all of that news up in here.
It was great to have The Score drop by again with TWO articles for us today! He is not quitting with his messages to the board members and decision makers at the club and nor should he be, and this time he has provided them with that all important data to back up his, and many other fans including mine, opinions. This is actually an incredible article here speaking on why we all want to see more balance with our recruitment and how the data backs up that this is THE best way to succeed.
His second article is on the deep rooted issues at this club under the current ownership and how sacking another manager yet again would not solve them. All it would do is deflect, even though I think most of us do hold some real concerns about Enzo Maresca right now too. Another top read this here.
And as always, I had the live blog running yesterday covering all of your latest Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in the same place here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today!
Peace, Si.
Si: I've got to vent a little. To be honest this is beginning to be sickening. We are barely out of the winter signing period and here you are telling us of summer potential signings. From your perspective are the SD's actually reading what you and we are all saying. Us fans don't believe anyone in upper management is listening to all of us. It's real simple. Our needs are adding some experienced players to our team . Our immediate position needs are GK, CB, LB, DM, #10 and a #9. Sancho isn't cutting it, we do not center the ball enough (ball control means nothing if we don't score), Sanchez can't distribute the ball, Lavia and Fofana may just be injury liabilities, MC is going to burn out and Jackson needs a competitor. I know you and us fans have been saying all this for over a year now with no SD results. They seem to be signing just to sign and spend money (KDH). Sounds like from all fan responses there is a revolt coming against upper management. The tip of the iceberg is what we have been reading regarding selling Santos for pure profit. That plus all the young signings that cannot help us on the pitch right now and the lack of mature player signings. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure this all out.
