EXCL: Chelsea hold new talks for Marc Guehi, Sources: Attentions turn to Xavi Simons after negative Eze talks, Jody Morris: Chelsea must upgrade Robert Sanchez, UEFA can't decide player values......
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Monday 21st July 2025!
Morning all,
Hope you all had a good weekend!
Things have stayed rather quiet around Chelsea, at least in the public eye. They all did have a few days off after the Club World Cup, but things are starting to heat up a little now in the transfer market.
After talks with Eberechi Eze’s agents last week, Chelsea have turned their attentions to Xavi Simons for that extra attacker they want to bring in this window. Simons is a player who has been on Chelsea’s list for some time, but there are some developments here that also involve Arsenal. Get the full drop on that story from our insider sources here.
As well as that, Chelsea have approached the agents of Crystal Palace centre back Marc Guehi this weekend, and are looking to accelerate their interest in him again for this window. Full exclusive story via our sources here.
Meanwhile, Jody Morris says Chelsea cannot go to the next level with Robert Sanchez in goal and says they still need to sign a new goalkeeper this summer. Of course I agree with this, and so do the huge majority of the community in this fan base. Read all about that and see Morris’ quotes as well as poll results here.
UEFA are allegedly getting annoyed with unofficial PSR swap deals and according to Martin Zeigler of The Times, are looking into taking a tougher stance on it. Yeah, OK, UEFA about to start putting value on players? I don’t think so…. Story here.
I also had the Blues News Report out last night which rounded up all your general and latest Chelsea news in the same place. Covers it all here.
See you all on the next live blog from around 8.30am today.
Peace, Si.
