Thanks Will. I agree - we need another striker. I had forgotten about the Africa Nations Cup! Then we really DO need another striker - if I am being honest I have never rated Broja very highly, even before his injury. I think Jackson does have the makings of a very good player but we cannot hang our hat on him at the present time.

Good article Will. I personally want to wait and see how Jackson and Broja perform

I'd love to wait to see on Jackson and Broja, but I think the reality is that even if they both go on a good scoring run, a good consistent 9 would probably get us in the top 4 pretty easily given the struggles so far of teams like United and Liverpool, to a lesser extent.

But I think the profile has to be correct. Oshimhen would be the dream, but it would probably mean that long-term, you're going to have to sell one of Jackson or Broja because there just aren't enough spots. Toney would be really good because with age profiles and things, you can probably keep all three forwards for the next 3 years and everything be okay. The issue is that there's absolutely no resale value on Toney in terms of transfer fee.

Agree with everything there Justin. I am not against signing a new striker btw, I just want to see how they do in the next 2 months is all.

Well written Will.

Non negotiable...

We need THAT number 9 in January.

I know we are pulling everything out to get Toney.

Let's hope we can pull it off!.

Get him and Top 8 , here we come!

Oshiman next summer would be the dream.

Then sell Broja to recoup some cash.

I think best chance to get Osimhen could be this winter. I’m ready for another 31st Jan late night 😉 If he’s not ready to extend, then next summer (2024) he has only one year left in his contract. I don’t think ADL risk that. Now Antonio is linked to be their next manager then I think Osimhen might sign an extension. Hope it’s not with an astronomical RC like Rafael

Conte is not going to join Napoli. That owner and manager relationship is one that would never work!

Will, I can’t disagree with anything that you’ve written here. However, why would Red Bull sell Sesko so soon after securing him

With our injury record we probably would need 4 class strikers and they’d all get minutes.

In an ideal world we could have promoted another academy product but this is the great Chelsea reset.

With our wingers and midfield generally being full with a fit Nkunku could be the solution upfront if we don’t get any of our targets by the end of the transfer window.

Let’s be honest just to get him in the team we may need to play him upfront anyway.
