‘Chelsea’s future doesn’t depend on Mason Mount being at Chelsea’ - Well said mate and Chelsea’s future has never depended on certain players at all. Eden Hazard left us, Arjen Robben left us, Juan Mata, Kevin De Bruyne, Courtois and so many more have all left during my time supporting this club. The club has always been here and it’s all about how we move forward from this point on.

I am glad to hear the club reached out to your dad during a tough time in your family.

Good words no well said. All of us should be careful for what we wish for. Yes they’ve made mistakes but so did Roman, we just brushed under the carpet now! Let’s give these guys time as you say they are in it for the right reasons. I think in two or three seasons, we will look back and see this as a small blip in our recent history.

Excellent article. I agree with every word. Still the owners have made, in retrospect, a bunch of rookie errors. For such smart experienced sports franchise owners must have been a shock. Knowledge matters more than brains. Just ask a London cabbie prior to google maps. Takes time to acquire premier league knowledge. Hope Boehly etc learn fast.

Why don’t we go for big benz?

I am hoping Mason stays and retires - but if he has to go then - it is what it is.. Still hoping there is a middle ground that can be reached. Our owners I am hoping definitely understand our fans sentiment with Mount. Hopefully 🤞

I don't think there's any doubt about what the owners want to happen: a winning side that is also a cash generative business.

They are financiers so are approaching the outcome of a winning team by doing what they consider smart business. That's the wrong way round.

Losing Mount will be a big failure from a sporting perspective. I'm sure it'll make sense from a business perspective so they slap themselves on the back nonetheless. I expect we'll see many more sales like that in the months/years to come.

Our recruitment approach is high risk. We need a lot of punts to come off. It looks like we're going to keep taking punts rather than focus on building a winning team. Pochettino will undoubtedly make us better than last season - if nothing else because we'll should have reasonable fitness and conditioning - but I doubt we'll be anywhere near the top four.

Do we think we are still trying for Edwards?

i think most of our doubts about the owners / sport directors will clear up after this window... one way or the other. Also cant stress enough how much we need someone with pedigree / experience to lead the footballing side of things
