Cup Final PREVIEW ahead of BIG Wembley outing! Why we need MORE communication from the owners, Loan army report, Gusto & RJ in same team? Empire of the Kop on the Podcast, News roundups, More...
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Friday 23rd February 2024!
Morning everyone!
Well, we are here, it’s cup final weekend and we are just a couple days away from Ben Chilwell leading the Chelsea players out at Wembley in an attempt to bring that trophy home. It’s been a little while, but I think this entire fan base deserves this excitement ahead of a cup final. Chelsea have a HUGE task on their hands to bring this home, but I must admit that I do have some belief that we can do it.
Check out my HUGE match review in it’s entirety with my score predictions, lineup prediction, team news, stats, facts, H2H, current form, and much more in here.
More buildup to the final can be found in quotes, interviews, news, and anything else going on around the club in the last 24 hours in the same place in yesterday’s live blog here.
And also, we had Empire of the Kop writer Liam Togher join us on the Podcast yesterday to preview and build up to the game from a Liverpool perspective as well as a Chelsea’s. Find out how confident they are feeling and their thoughts on the injuries and a potential lineup that we might be facing in here. Loads more in this too.
Luke has TWO articles for us today, which is a nice treat to see out the week right before our big game on Sunday.
His first was debating how we can get Malo Gusto in the same team as Reece James. Many believe James should play in midfield, but Luke has debated that in here.
And his second article is his bread and butter loan army report. Check in here to find out how all of Chelsea’s on loan players are doing this last week.
And we have The Score rounding things up for us today with a very important article and a new message to our owners and board members. Quite simply, we NEED to hear from you more and in the proper way. Read more on that here.
OK, housekeeping to finish off my newsletters for the week. I am surprised that I even managed to get a full set of newsletters out this week with our baby due date being a week ago today now. No sign of him yet but as many of you will know, he could come at any time. We have our next midwife meeting on Monday to see what happens next, but we are both hoping he comes before then (ideally not on Sunday at 3pm though). So once again, I may or may not be back on the site on Sunday as usual but if not, Luke will be around and will still be getting content out, and I will rejoin as soon as physically possible!
Day by day, hour by hour. If I’m here, I’ll start a live match discussion thread for the final too!
Have a good weekend and BLOODY COME ON YOU BLUESSSSSS UTC!!!!! BRING IT HOME!!!
Peace, Si.
Exciting time for your family - Si - enjoy it’s a special moment! Hopefully Chelsea will give you a nice baby gift in Sunday!
Si as a parent of 2 boys still at home in their 30’s the issue of a delayed birth isn’t too much to worry about because when they are born it’s eventually getting them to leave that’s the real issue.
