Loved the preview although don't agree with all of it just 98%.
We as fans and the commentators have all said the team lacks experience so if a player like Silva gets vocal and clearly is unhappy that his last season playing possibly is dragged down by those around him who perhaps aren't listening i for one applaud that as its time that the team stand up and fight not just one person.
Speed wise I'll watch the games more closely but don't recall him being beaten for the ball in a race except rarely. In other words just because Football Manager games mark him down for speed doesn't mean its correct.
Rant over and I'm wondering if Poche might get you to select the team on Saturday as well as they are great picks and what the fans want to see and the team needs.
Thanks Andy, definitely see where you’re coming from with Silva. I just don’t like the arm flailing and what looks like from my view in the stands as moaning rather than a leaders guidance. I think it made it worse because he was the reason we conceded when he miss-controlled the ball.
Thankfully the mis control doesn’t happen often I think 1 commentator described it as the first mistake he’d made in a Chelsea shirt but we both know that can’t be true! Lol
It’s one of my pet hates, just play players in their positions! Yes I wouldn’t be shocked to see Gallagher playing too or even Ugochukwu which is understandable.
Good article Sam and agree your analysis. We need to rely less on Thiago at CB as he is definitely (and not surprisingly!) on a downwards trajectory this season.
Cheers Jonathan, exactly, it’s no surprise he’s slowing down and it’s so impressive he’s still playing at all at the top level. I’m hoping when Badiashile comes back and gets up to speed, Silvas role in the side will become lessened.

I strongly agree with your comments about Silva and regret Poch won't face up to it.
An alternative is to play caicedo at right back, drop Silva and play Disasi at right centre back
Sam that is exactly the team I would pick.

One thing which we all want to see, is Poch stamp his own playing style on the team.
That's what has disappointed me as well as the results this year.
For some reason, I fancy us tomorrow with that team we agree on.
But will Poch be brave enough to go for it.
