Chelsea must sell, first big test for Tuchel, Abraham 'confused,' Elephant in the room, underlining issue

Well folks, it had to happen eventually, we can’t win every match - but none of us expected it to be this dire right?

Thomas Tuchel’s express train is missing some key bolts now after West Brom attempted to derail the carriages on Saturday afternoon, ending the German’s 14-game unbeaten run since he took the Chelsea reigns.

However, this is perhaps a wake up call that might be needed, the first massive test for Tuchel and a chance to really see what his players are made of.

I’ve put a positive spin on this here and written why this first big test was needed.

But as much as I think the defeat can be spun positively and demand reactions, it also just reiterated an underlining issue that we have had at this club for many years.

Regardless of who the manager is, some of these players show weak mentalities when things are not going our way, and this still remains a problem now, as I write about here.

Then came the training ground bust-up reports, and whether you believe this or not, or have just brushed it aside as handbags, I believe this is another slowly growing issue within the club now - something we saw during Frank Lampard’s time in charge, and something that will always be there whilst certain players are still there.

We still need a good squad overhaul and to move some players on who’s time at the club is clearly up, as I explain here addressing the elephant/s in the room.

Meanwhile, Tammy Abraham was left out of Tuchel’s squad on Saturday once again, and we can confirm that he was not injured and was 100% fit.

Abraham and some of his team mates have been left ‘confused’ by this, as I take you through here.

Finally, we don’t often type through one of these newsletters without a bit of transfer talk, and this time we are addressing the importance of selling players this summer.

Chelsea need to get their targets in all positions this summer, but to do that could be a little complicated with the ongoing pandemic, as I explain here.
