Hey Simon, do you have any insights if the club are prioritizing the "CEO of Football" position?

Like you said its clear to everyone involved with the club that there is a lack of hierarchy/structure which is going to negatively affect our summer transfer market. Is there a sense of urgency to fill this position or whats the plan

Chelsea board - please read and act on this 👀

All Chelsea fans agree, this signing is as important as a striker or a DM!

Give Edwards whatever he wants to sign the dotted line, will go a long way further for us than spending 100m on any player.

Honestly , I've always considered that this window is the test for whoever Boehly hires. But patience is running out and all the sharks in Football are smelling blood. As a fan I cannot let my club fail a summer window twice , things must not reach this stage. I don't want to riot because this window is a failure , I want my club to sort things out and hire the best. This is by far the best opinion piece i've read and I fully agree.

Boehly and co. continue to rebuild internally:

with Andrew Cousins (City,Stoke) new Chelsea head of the scouting department.

Stewart Thompson (City) new Chelsea youth chief scout.

Poch's ex Spurs scout Steve Hitchen is also expected to join the team.

Ian Graham ex Liverpool chief analyst

and ex protégé of Daniel Finkelstein is also traded at Chelsea.

Would it be possible that Chelsea Michael Edwards is installed as Ceo board and Paul Mitchell becomes our new sporting director....

L.Stewart can concentrate on the multi-club business and P. Winstanley can switch back to scouting where he excels.

some of the points here about Winstanley are spot on too.. hence iv been skeptical of his current role all the while. The red flags have been there all along. Keep him on the talent identification side. Hopefully the owners make the change whenever its possible to do it. We cant let someone like Edwards or even Mitchell go elsewhere while they are available. If we have to sacrifice on of the current directors then so be it or move one of them to the multi club roles whenever we have those deals done

been banging this drum for a while now... whether you keep or move on the current recruitment directors... the biggest priority has to be a DOF like Edwards or Mitchell. Will say it again that will be our biggest signing this summer!

Agreed! We’re almost there. We just need someone to be the face of the operation now. Edwards would be spectacular, but I’d also be happy with Mitchell especially with his previous connection with Poch.
