Good evening ladies and gents,
This is an intriguing topic of conversation and one that I have a very strong answer for! I am very interested to see who you all vote for below.
So lets be frank Djordje Petrovic has been excellent since coming in to the side, he hasn’t been at fault for any of the goals and to me he actually hasn’t really put a foot wrong.
I have been so pleasantly surprised by Petrovic it has really taken me aback, I have never been Sanchez’s biggest fan but far from his harshest critic, but when he got injured I was a little worried, even with his fluctuating performances and heart palpitating performances!
How wrong I was….. he has kept 7 clean sheets in 14 games and made some incredible saves. His composure on the ball and when under pressure has been brilliant to see and his decision making has been excellent, he hasn’t overplayed from the back and is not scared to kick the ball long when under pressure.
The Headache……..
What does Poch do once Sanchez is fully fit and ready to return?
What would you do if you was Poch?
For me Petrovic has to be number one until he has a bad run of performances/mistakes, he has earnt the right to be called Chelsea’s number one over the last 2 months or so.
I now believe Petrovic is more likely to be Chelsea’s long term number one than Sanchez now and maybe we will consider offers for Sanchez come the summer, we still need an elite number1 and we also still have Slonina out on loan who the club rate HIGHLY!
Please give me your thoughts and opinions….?
Thanks for reading

Petrovic for me atm as number 1.
He needs to improve at corners & crosses.
Overall im very pleased with him, bought for a bargain £11.5 million!..
Let's not forget what Brad Friedal said about Petrovic as well.
" Once he gets his chance, he WILL be Chelseas number 1"
Other than the Rice mistake, Sanchez has performed well.
His playing out from the back, gives me a heart attack at times.
But... overall he has done well.
And lets not forget, BOTH are a massive upgrade on Kepa.
How many long distance goals have we conceded this year?
I rest my case 🙂
Best goalkeeper situation for years and certainly petrovic has earns a shot as number 1 but Kepa we don’t want him to come back as the club has moved on Real have dropped him to 3rd choice anyway
