Community votes on Pochettino (bad tactical manager, created no fan connection, majority want him gone), EXCL: Saudi weigh up Nkunku, We all want stability, Conference League? Luke's latest, More..
The Chelsea FC Newsletter: Wednesday 10th April 2024!
Morning all,
I hope you are all having a good week as we reach the midway point. Chelsea do not play until Monday, so at least we can look forward to a weekend without the mighty Blues ruining it! On Monday we face Everton, a club who have just been docked more points and will be fully up for it! BIG game coming up, but until then, let’s feast on some content!
You all know my thoughts on Mauricio Pochettino, but I wanted to get the thoughts of the community on here which is for me THE best Chelsea fan community in the world, even if I’m biased! But I know many of you think the same. The results we have got in here are really quite damning for Pochettino, with a massive 96% of you believing he has not done enough to create a fan connection. The majority of us would also be happy if he was sacked TODAY. Over to you, Chelsea….
In my next article today, I have addressed two stories/quotes that were highlighted yesterday. One is on Chelsea making Conference League football this season, with Paul Merson suggesting we should be avoiding that (a chance to give your opinion on this too with some more polls), and the other one on how the club needs stability in a manager and also addressing ‘sensible recruitment’ issues. I do think we need stability, but Pochettino is not the guy. Much more on that in here.
I also rounded up all the rest of your Chelsea news from across the last 24 hours in one place here. This covers all the latest transfer news, quotes, and any other general Blues news that’s been kicking about!
My last article of the day is another exclusive report from sources! Another Chelsea player is gaining interest from Saudi Arabia, but it might not be a player you expect! Full story on that in here.
As ever, we have Luke anchoring up today with his latest musings. Following on from the Conference League debate we had yesterday, Luke’s given his thoughts on that in here.
Thanks for stopping by, see you all on the live blog from around 8am this morning!
Peace, Si.
It's normally easy to point at the finger at the coach, and some of his in game decisions have in my view had a direct effect of us losing or drawing games we could have got something from.
We have to remember he is not responsible for assembling such an unbalanced squad or for not addressing the issues of last season , that's the recruitment team ( room full of chimps could have done better in my view ...cheaper too)
The medical staff have to shoulder a considerable amount of the balme , its them who have examined clearly injured recruits , them that supervise preseason conditioning ( by the amount of early injuries and the type its been poor ) and this has continued with inadequate rehabilitation. So , yes Poch could do more to engage with the fans and yes he has made mistakes , but to change him so late in the season would be nuts , we done that before and that didn't really play out ( relegation form after Potter left )
